Excellent learning environment

Meet dealines & workiing with juniors
During my work there each day have to start with what needs to be done Check my deadlines and push first work which have earlier deadline. By the end of the day we have to merge the work for managers to check the extent of our work I have learnt to delegate audit work to juniors and check their progress to ensure that deadlines are met I have also learnt that audit is more about quality work and meeting deadlines at all times The reporting part brings joy when I see my contribution to the total audit report The most challenging part was pushing tight deadlines when we were given more clients with the same number of staff, but we made it

Application for the advertised position
I started doing my saica articles with PKF incorp welkom for 2 years preparing clients financial statements and preparing tax returns. i finished my articles with Auditor general auditing clients financial statements Im currently working as an audit supervisor at the same company. My responsibility is to coach and monitor trainees as well ad reviewing and compiling reports at the end of each project.i also review if the client has complied with the relevent laws and regulations/accounting standards. i have a BAcc degree and are currently studying with ACCA and only left with 1 subject to complete my qualifications. im a hard worker and enjoy challenges

Excellent
Auditor General is one of the best companies to work. Theres oportunitinies to further ur studies short and long term course which the company pays for. The salary is good. Work environment is also good.

Excellent learning experience
Auditor Egneral is great for people who do not have a family to look after as one is required to travel alot. They also have a great work environment and it is very ethical environment as well. They overwork their trainees and forget that we are just as human as they are.

A team player
I have gotten my final sign off with my SAICA articles in 2019 January, with 4years auditing experience in public sector. The work experience, I obtained competencies in risk management and governance and external reporting, auditing and assurance, financial management, internal audit, management decision-making, business ethics, management and leadership and Information Technology. I have a passion in performing compliance in finance. I have been growing in obtaining skills of supervising audits, I always look for new opportunities to learn and better my skills.

Excellent environment for making impact in society
It’s a good opportunity to work at the AGSA. I get to do work that impact society, that strengthens democracy. A typical day here is meetings with internal stakeholders dealing with quiries from clients and stakeholders. The culture is a bit punitive as mistakes are not tolerated given the nature of our business.
