Check strategic alignment, execute plan and review results. Check daily sales at 5am. Check stock levels and order book. Develop a list of action items for staff, type e-mails(delayed delivery for 6am). Review plan for the day against new priorities. Execute daily plan. Review actions for the day against annual and monthly plans.

Pros: Witnessing staff grow in responsibility and gain confidence.
Cons: Perfection remains elusive but remains a worthy pursuit.

I am miner

i have worked as the shaft timberman assistant and i obtained the onsetter certificate and currently obtatined the blasting certifcate and currently working at Baking platinum mine under Aveng as a Miner

Pros: i am a hard worker and i believe i do my best in your company
Cons: i am working 8 hours per day and have been working for the company since 2012

Company has exposed me to various contract types. Has been a good company to work for. Has allowed me to learn alot and grow through the ranks within the company.

Excelent learning curve, but stagnent currently due to companies financial position in the Market

Estimating is always a challenging position as not one contract is the same as the previous. I enjoy finding new ways of looking at a problem and finding the solution with my work colleges. as an Estimator I have learnt to adapt and think outside of the box to come up with the best cost effective method of pricing a tender while still allowing the site to generate a profit.

Pros: Always learning new methods
Cons: Long stressful hours.

It was a good company with good management

Aveng is a good company with great Management and employees, the people are welcoming and very helpful, it's more like a family. I was fresh from Varsity when I got to Aveng and the love from all employees was overwhelming, everyone is always willing to help. Everyone carried me under their arms and taught me everything I know today. I received professional experience from the company but most of all I got moral experience.

Gaining experience and knowledge

Work starts at 7H30. Fixing electrical problems on pannles. Do fault finding. Wire electrical panels neatly and according to the wire diagram of the machine. Workshop DB bord inspection and installation

Source candidates, shortlist, set interviews, prepare interview packs and recruitment reports. I’m responsible for distributing adverts after creating them across business. Capture CVs on Neptune, Liase with recruitment agencies, capture and request qualifications verifications and fingerprints with MIE. Conduct previous employment reference checks on candidates. I also assist candidates with registering their profiles and resetting their passwords on Neptune. I’m also in the Employment Equity committee representing people with disability. Assist external and internal candidates with registering and resetting their profiles on Neptune.
