With my qualifications and experience that I have in the security field. im the perfect candidate
Working for the Department of Correctional Services at the Devon Correctional Centre as a Correctional Officer since from 06 March 2006 until present. I am in possession of the National Diploma in Correctional Services Management from Tshwane University of Technology as well as the Certificate in Forensic Investigation from University of Johannesburg. I am a self-started, independent person who works through minimum supervision and well in a team. Experienced in the security field with the ability to handle complex issues with my problem solving skills and communicate benefits in a simple and conscious manner. My career objective is to enhance my knowledge and experience in the safety and security sector .

Working at Correctional Services
From time to time I assist with training of officials in firearm training, self defense and tonfa training. During working days I have to attend to attend security meetings with co-managers and workers to ensure compliance. I am in good relation with co-workers and senior managers. What I have learnt in Correctional Services over the years is that all human When I am not busy with training, I manage our security division as well as our Emergency Support Team. What I like the most is to sit down and inter act with offenders to try and establish what happened in there life. Why did they commit the crimes. The most challenging aspects of my job is shortage of manpower during day shift and sometimes on night shift. Then you have to place officials to ensure that the security of the Centre is not compromise.

i am an human resource graduate who is willing to learn more from my career and any other given opportunities, i am a hard worker and a good listener i think with the opportunity of an entry level i will be able to apply my skills and abilities that i learned from the previous employment

Strategic Planning: - Responsible for coordination, facilitation and development of departmental strategic plan and annual performance plans in line with departmental strategic objectives and priorities of the Department and ensures tabling in Parliament within the timeframes; Conduct SWOT Analysis - Ensure alignment to government frameworks on strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation; - Provide strategic direction and guidance on planning processes of the Department of Correctional Services through the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and systems in the alignment of the broader plan of the department - Provide advice to strategic partners pertaining to legislative and regulatory compliance relating to performance and planning processes

Good and challenging
At the moment I'm unemployed, however I used to work in the Department of Agriculture, Correctional Services and Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) which is my latest employment. Even though RTMC was my latest and temporary employment I enjoyed every minutes of working there. The environment was good, the working relationship with my co-workers was good, including that with my superiors. As it was a team work , I learned to work in a team and that people are different. We worked with targets which were given to us daily, weekly and monthly. It was very challenging as these targets were to be finished in each five months. A period of five months might sound like long but the work load was way more than that period. We had to finish about 6000 applications per person per day.

I am currently working as a Correctional Officer – based at Devon Correctional Centre responsible for security operations and related matters including implementation of physical security, information security, policies and strategies within safety and security management. I am also responsible to conduct physical security assessment and investigation on all the incoming and outgoing prisoners.
