Progressive change

The department offers opportunities for its employees to grow in the industry. It offers variety of capacity building, like training offered in an employee relevant field. I have acquired a certificate in Community Based Plan Facilitation with the University of Free State with the partnership with the department. I also obtained a certificate in Financial Management (attendance). I have an individual plan for that current plan that i have to work on to deliver the work that needs to be done. I have learnt to work in groups though sometimes its changing but empowered me to grow and learn from people's mistakes. I enjoyed assisting the community to alleviate poverty and sustain their lives. Household profiling is the most challenging thing I've ever came across, sometimes you get kicked out of the household without acquiring the information needed.

Provide administrative support to Assistant Director in the district Implementation of Corporate Communication in the district Effective Management of Corporate publications Effective Stakeholder Management Implement District Events Handle media enquiries and provide regular feedback. Draft media responses. Create promotional activities and tool for the department Production of marketing materials including leaflets, posters, flyers and newsletters Marketing of events Preparation of press release Branding and exhibition Event preparation and planning

Abilities

I do administrative work, research and give counselling to students. About administrative I do day to way paper work, interact with students and management daily, ITS, prepare fore presentations, write reports and compile reports. I do desktop research, community research with the intentions to identify challenges and find possible solutions and answer the asked questions. Students come from different environment and also experience different challenges, so I give them counselling so that they are able to cope and perform well academically and help them to realize their potential. I also give counselling to members of staff and necessary support.

Pros: Reading, engaging in community engagements, ability to work under pressure, communicatian and management skills
Cons: Failing to deliver when there is a need

Great growth experience

One gets to get an experience is many areas such as PR, events Managment, corporate communication , digital marketing and media relations . With the vatietion one is able to pick where they excel the most or where their focal interest is. A downfall was that some to most of the principles where centralised to a provincial level which did not give one at a district level to explore to the best of their ability

Excellent learning curve

-Public service organization rendering service to the public.I'm currently located located to Statutory component, we assist client with. - Foster care grant application, supervision and family reunification etc.In our work we work as a team you cannot work alone in vacuum work is the key. -I've learned to be content and able to deal with different cultures diversity and beliefs -What I enjoy most is we communicate a lot if we see challenges and come with the solutions. -

Excellent working experiance

Its a very good company that render services to our communities.it gave me the opportunity to explore how is it to work with different clients with different situations.they offered us an opportunity to work with NGOs,we did profiling,mobilization and i volunteered in HR Office and switchboard. its an 8 hour working day,that is how it operates.the co-workers were good even though you dont meet the same people but you learn to accept the way people do things and the way they approach things.they thought us so much in social development. that is where i discovered what i love doing. What i really enjoyed doing was doing filing,submitting leaves and copies an also leaves how to capture information in the computer. most challenging was when you get the complaint from the client and its not attended by the specific social worker,which takes you a bit down but you end up following the case until its attended.

Wonderful experience and learning curve

On a typical work day my duties are Capturing on CBIMS System, compiling databases, Calling service offices, handling incoming and outgoing data, calls and e-mails, making copies, printing, receiving and verifying Monthly claims and CBIMS forms.

Thise work make me understand different people.

I work 8 hours a day.We work as a team in order to reach our gool.I learn to communicate and to understand people from different cultural groups.I enjoy to meat communities in order to increase the number of job opputunities.I find it dificult if the community does not responding arccoding to what we want as the department.
