I am a friendly and hard-working individual focusing on delivery of outputs as my area of speciality is performance management. I have been fortunate to represent my Department internationally on two occasions and have not only secured training opportunities with Japan and Netherlands but also made great friendships in the process. My position has allowed me to be part of many inter-departmental forums/platforms which I have found most rewarding as it has given me the opportunity to be apart of a changing sector in terms of qualification development for the water sector. I have been working full-time for more than 20 years and am now looking to focus more on my family commitments and other career aspirations in the counselling space. I am therefore interested in securing a half-day job as I would still like to continue contributing to the HR community in whatever way I can.

Purchasing, goods receipt and goods issue also payments
- my daily job is to source quotations, create purchase orders and capture of invoices also receiving of stock or merchandise. - I have a good relationship with my co-workers that makes me to enjoy being at my work place. - I learn to respect any employee nor matter at lower level. - I enjoy working as a team. - The most challenging part is when the supplier supplied wrong stock and you find that is a small business even not having enough knowledge of doing business.
Pros: There is greate opportunity of promotion due to experience of work.
Cons: It happens some times that we work till late after seven in the evening.

Excellent Admin and organisational skills
I'm a people's person I work well under pressure Have learned to work with diverse group of people I'm a good lissoner and a problem solver, Accurate report writing skills Have to be a problem solver in almost aspects very challenging but with the skillsc I have it then becomes easy to do thst

Customer care
Working with the department of water and sanitation has brought nothing but an experience of a life time,the different people/clients i meet everyday makes it even more fun,where i get to learn different cultures and a lot more,sometimes it is challenging when i have to deal with a angry customer regarding their certificate and licenses but then again it is what has made me the strong person that i am when it comes to customer care. and believe now i has all become a lot of fun meeting clients.
Pros: incentives only when you traveled
Cons: working long hours only when we are doing support on other regions.

I am dealing with all labour related matter i.e promoting a sound labour Relations in a workplace, advising management, handling grievances and initiating and chairing disciplinary hearing. representing the department in CCMA and GPSSBC. handling all recruitment and selection processes.

Am learning a lot from this position because i had to meet people of different scientific background
My job is very challenging and interesting at the same. We are a team comprised of scientist with a varying environmental fields. We had to meet different stakeholders. My relationship with co-workers is very amazing and we understand that we are scientists with different background. What I enjoy most is when I meet stakeholders from rural areas who don't understand any scientific work. And to try to transfer scientific information into layman language.
Pros: Opportunities for promotions are there as i also double up as Scientific Manager.
Cons: I work in a normal working hour of 8 hours per day. However, sometimes i go beyond 8 hours depending on project demands

An excellent learning curve
I analyse samples Prepare reagents and working chemicals for the machine Upload results on LIMS Trouble shoot perform Quality checks My colleagues are nice people, I get to learn a lot from them as they are experienced in their work. Technically, I am trying to milk as much knowledge from as possible.
Pros: Get to work and learn in different environments and work structures.
