Good opportunity to learn
No good nor excellent job well done recognition or incentives though the job is sometimes challenging and sometimes so enjoyable. I certainly can recommend Edcon to one of my family or friend members as the best place to work.

The Operations Management Development Programme gave a lot more learning experience in the company
I have experience on working in public sector and retail expertise hence I fully engage myself into daily conditions. I started as an Operational Manager in a SETA Development Programme where theoretical learning was with the University of Pretoria and physical practice was with Edcon. I was a duty manager in Edgars Red Square Pavilion from June 2014, December I was the Acting Store Operation Manager in Red Square Vincent Park, January to May 2015 I was the Acting Store Manager in Red Square Pinetown. June 2015 to April 2016 a Financial Manager in Red Square Midlands Mall. In the time I was in Midlands I was also care taking the other Red Square in Cascades on monthly bases. I also worked as a Payroll trainee at Velociti Call Centre, other duties included reception, data capturing and invoicing.
Pros: The opportunity for promotional is extremely low as the company was re trenching a lot of departments and highly ranked personnel in the company
Cons: The long hours were barable

Since i have been in hr industry i am enjoying and every step and wiiling to learn more
I have learned to work and understand different individuals in a workplace, challenges that open my eyes and know how others view things, I am satisfied with how daily performance is measured each and everyday, I enjoy when my job is being praised and I still believe that will be praised in a long run, I have learned how to interview, letter of appointment, new staters,transfer of employment, filing ,leaves (both sick and maternity) registers...what challenging most is working with team that don't give full attention to the project

Good learning curve
I've been in retail for a long time to serve and promote the company by giving customer service. I've worked under pressure , having to work alone in a depatment and multi-tusking. I've also learnt to put the customer first by listening before answering and not to promise what I can't deliver. I've also learnt to work with people as a team player in a depertment. I've also worked trying to help those difficult customers and done some problem solving by working to impress those customers and making good lasting relationship with our customers. Now I need a better paying company, new experience, and growth.
Pros: great opportunity for grorwth
Cons: working underpressure and being unappreciated for job well done

Training and development
I have learned alot from Edcon over the years, and it was my 1st company to work for after school. There are many opertunities fot young individuals and its a good company to work for.

Ive learned a lot as individual and being part of the team
Each day becomes the same as yesterday.. i have to build up a challenge myself.. working with demotivated is good when you can tap in their minds.. sometimes I just focus on leading by example, i enjoy product promotions and solving queries customers have.. for some reason.. it makes my day to leave people happy.
Pros: eliminate some promotions and set time frame.. apart

Good experince
I am starting my day ever week day from 07:00 to 16:00 and I enjoy everyday experience and challenge that I am getting every day, getting views from different kind of people make me wise each and every day, relationship with co-worker goes very well though sometimes we little differences but we are able to resolve the matters and agree on one thing at the end of the day, I enjoy knowing that we are different and we have to appreciate each others as we are but at end of the day daily duty must be done

Excellent work experience
working at Edcon teaches me a lot about multi skills work and how to work as a team and how to deal with customers and how to work with fellow workers of the company. I really enjoyed my job.

Perfect learning
nice work experience but I want learn more outside having great relationship with other employee and I am becoming expert that others rely on unto so far I have learned a lot, how to work with a team for to deal with different individual attitudes how to be independent I enjoy challenges because they upgrade my mind and I am learning from them
