The company expects nothing less than 100% Hard work.it prepared me well to push beyond limits and always take initiative.my communication skills were most certainly improved. The environment expects one to find ways of communicating so that clear understanding is established. The language barrier is the source of it all.

Excellent and exiting learning curve
-each day had its own challenges but it was fun working with clients and subcontractors -my relationship with co- workers was excellent , I think they made more easier for me to adapt because I was the only woman in my group and I also had a working experience with management because we would agree on everything. And they were willing to help on everything.

Excellent learning curve.

We work as a team, team divided in different positions we have Area Managers, Region Managers and Customers Experience Consultants... We report sales daily, Huawei and Competitors. Data capturing on iretail and Scarecrow on a daily basis.

Plan A,B and C is ready for action
We work under alot of pressure and you run 100% of the time 24/7. I had to plan extensively daily and even hourly as anything can change at any time of the day. From teams not getting to site to urgent management meetings. So I had to be on the ball all the time and know what's going on your site's all the time. I had a close relationship with my site managers coz they the ones that makes a site happen. I also had daily contact with my subcons to insure that things are happening according to plan. Again I had weekly or bi weekly meetings with them depending on the project urgentcy. I always had a plan ready incase of something going wrong for that site and alot of the time you need to think on your feet. Was held back by management alot unfortunately
Pros: Unfortunately there was no opportunity to grow in the company I was at.

Challenging and rewarding
Being a Transmission Engineer is both challenging and rewarding. A strong work ethic and team work is important in reaching targets and troubleshooting. A typical day and work starts with checking your emails and responding to high priority ones and check that teams are dispatched to different sites for RTN installations and CTN installations. Typically teams should be on site by 10am for Microwave installations because panning can take a while before configurations. Being a Transmission Engineer is Challenging and rewarding. A strong work ethic and team work is important in reaching targets and troubleshooting. I'm summary the main things would be Microwave Planning (LOS, Capacity, KPIs), RTN and CTN/ATN Configurations and troubleshooting, mainly Cutover/Swaps/New Installations, and reports by the end of the day.

Leadership building experience
One manages themselves, it teaches you how to respected time and meet targets as it is important to your commission, and you learn to talk to customers with different moods at the sametime convince them to buy you product

Excellent learning experience
My responsibilities are to manage inventory, facilitate training of in store consultants for huawei and I also do sales for them in store. I attend regular for huawei products that I must push in terms of sales and I have to educate customers about the industry and brand itself before they make a purchase. During the time I have worked there I learned how important time management is because I work six days a week and I still have to juggle everything else in my life like furthering my studies and focusing on my own startup.
