Great company to work for

Improchem is one of the best companies to work for. I am based at head office so most issues pertaining to safety do come through to us. its very challenging at the same time exciting. The relationship between the co workers is a healthy one, sort of like a family as there are older and younger people. I have learnt a lot over the years. My only issue right now is I need to relocate back to Durban as I am struggling financially and right now the company is not in a position to give me a transfer as it's also re-structuring.

Excellent hard work

I'm working as plant operator..I started working as student in 2010 .we manufacture different chemicals from blending to reaction chemical..I have learned A lot since o started to work at improchem.about safety and customers first

Conscientious, meticulous, with years of Experience

Arrive at work at 6am. Plan the days goals and work direction I get on well with others and am a team player. Disagreements will arise but it needs to be resolved in a proffesional manner and amicably I have learn't how to deal with people, situations, my own growth and proffeisonally in my career. I'm Honest to a fault, kind, respectful. I enjoy the challenge of designing a plant layout that is safe, cost effective and practical.

Pros: My judgement is trusted when it comes to the modeling design.
Cons: There are no cons.

Communication is the key in leadership

I do installation, Maintenance and repair, sometimes upgrading were necessary. If do have enough time on the side for that day I will include inspection. What I really like about the job is that is more of team effort and every Monday after the safety talk will then take over and give them feedback, ask them challenges that needs my attention for that week including breakdown if any and that will makes me to train my fellows on work. I have learnt that communication is best remedy in a team What I hated mostly is when going to side without proper information and having a wrong spares. The most challenging part is when have to site engineer to defend the company.

Pros: Very slim because technician was the only in the team of sales

Learning about safety and Quality at all times

Improchem is a company that helped me improve my communication skills as i was able to meet lots of people with different backgrounds. I have learnt that safety is very important when working in a Chemical company,not only for an Indivisual but all people around the company. Quality was our main source in making sure that customers are happy at all times.

Sales Technologist

I have worked and grown from a field technician to a sales technologist where I am responsible to grow the business and retain the business. Site management skills I've gained through out my years at SAPREF Customer site ensuring the customer's site is well managed. Customer relation skills and communication skills I have gained. I enjoy my day to day work however I have mastered the challenges and it some times not motivating to do one and the same thing for 5 years without growing. Since I finished my MBA I haven't had an opportunity to apply what I have learnt and also still getting the same salary I have been getting before.

Pros: Great opportunity to make bonus if you get good customers
Cons: Always on standby even on weekends

We delealing with production and we are a great team we even spend time togather during offday i like to work win thechallange and i like team work and questions about the maintenance.
