Very very excellent learning curve
Training and working for macsteel tupe&pipe is the best any trade artisan can ask for especially fitters, we are a very grate team of artisan working hand to hand with each other,learning new things everyday mostly executing most challenging tasks collectively or individually when ever challenge arise. My typical work day is doing preventative maintenance, service and brakedowns.

Great experience
The company is big so you have an opportunity to grow, you just need patience and prove that you can work hard. I am used to hard work and the pressure was enjoyable, however if you are not target driven and are not willing to put in extra hours than this isn’t the place for you.

Some room for improvement and learning new skills
Work environment is ok. Benefits of medical aid and decent salary. Not much room for progress and no formal training provided to empower the worker. Lots of restructuring

Results driven person
I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Metallurgy with special emphasis in welding technology. I am registered as an International Welding Technologist (IIW-ZA/IWT). In addition to welding technology qualification I already have a B Tech in Engineering Metallurgy. In my 12 years of working experience I have obtained adequate skills and experience in Steel Making Practice, Heat treatment, Physical Metallurgy, Metallurgical Failure Investigations, Quality Assurance, Metallurgical Laboratory Operations, ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, Health - Safety Regulations and Metallurgical Consultancy Services in Steel Industry and most of Metal working processes.

A typical work day
On a typical work day I go through with my scheduled work and just try to work smart. I have a good relationship with my co-workers, when we work as a group we help one another so no one is over strained. I have learned a lot by working with different qualified professionals, who themselves are proven mentors. I learned how to work safe, reduce downtime on breakdowns and mechanical reasoning.
Pros: great learning environment.
Cons: not giving value to education.

I'm dedicated artisan who can work underpressure,who could work shifts.able to solve breakdowns,always hv a good relationship with my co workers,though can work alone dat give me gud experience challenges but prefer working in groups where by we get to share ideas.i believe I've cover the most part of fitter trade field though I hv no doubt that is very brought so I'm willing to learn what I have not got exposure on

Excellent learning curve
Working for Macsteel has been a wonderful thing to me as I learned a lot of skills on how to deal with customers to ensure they are always happy and daily part of the business. The warm culture of the organisation really made me learn easily and better my knowledge as we are a team. The most important part I learned was how to meet customer needs and exceed their expectations.

Good pay and learning
It is a good company to work for, the pay Ovias it won't be good in this difficult times and u have to fight for an increase, but all in all it is better to get something rather done not getting anything,
