My experience working in retail
I have worked for the company for 6years ,we work a 40hour shift a week ,weekends and public holidays included .I have gained a lot of experience whilst working here ,i think i enjoy interacting directly with the patients ,this enable me to provide better service to them because i get to understand their needs through the info they are providing .There branch where i was placed consist of only five staff members so we get along very well and work nicely together. The most challenging aspect about my work now is that im not getting compensated for my service as im suppose to because the branch's overall budget cant afford to cost of having 4 qualified post basic assistants in the branch.
Pros: They offer learnerships to those interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy.
Cons: working long hours on public holidays

Excellent learning opportunity and great exposure to the pharmaceutical industry.
My trainee period up to being fully qualified was a good learning curve. It gave me great exposure to different pharmacy personnel and gained knowledge through working with them. With pharmacy reps coming in every week for short teachings on their products also improved my knowledge on retail pharmacy.
Pros: Good company for a greater exposure
Cons: Limited staffing

Excellent workmanship and team working.
Due to shortage of staff we had to cover the gaps of duties that were there. Team spirit was a big thing for ua cause we knew we had to sometimes assume positions not necessarily in our line of duty. We all shared the same vision and goals for the company therefore it was easy to assist were possible.
Pros: great learning experience
Cons: non appreciation
