My work is very much enjoyable, i m in the frontline of my company every client start with me, working with clients is my passion, meeting different clients everyday, with various attitude, makes me become a star mostly when issues arrise I solve it calmly and politely. I work nicely with my co workers, I believe team work is a solution in any case. I learned to be confident about myself, work with pride in providing good service and meet my deadline in time and still have more time to help where its needed. My biggest challenge is short staff and lack of proper equipment.

Good learning
Handling customers coming in and going out of the country.......checking the passenger..........theres sections like cargo to recieve good from outside country and export good

Excellent learning
I used to work shift as I was working at the airport.I was good to my colleagues I was sharing what I know.even my supervisors knows that.I was showing them some of the stuff like how to perate systems.now I can be one of the supervisor as I 've leaned a lot.I was enjoying going up and down because I know one day I will be one of them.
Pros: I was not given opportunity to prove myself.as they were appointing their people.
Cons: yes I was working long hours when there's a delay and you don't get paid for that.

Good
I have key responsibility to maintaining several duties at the same time, usually the first part of my day is taken to make to sure that every equipment is running correctly and apply an necessary fixes, if needed. I have a very good relationship with my co-workers and management as well. We work as as team to ensure that we deliver a good services to our passengers and the clients, but most of the time i work as an individual because i am based in the office, and from working as individual i learnt a lot, taking responsibilities, been reliable, working under-pressure sometimes. Most of the things i enjoy about work is seeing our passenger happy and our clients too, the most challenges i come across is when the system is down and the main sort belt is not operating, it became very stressful because we will not be able assist passenger to trace their baggage and that always led to baggage left.

A learning curve. Never to be forgotten.
This company groomed me for bigger and better challenges. Making me aware that never to take things for granted. Just when you think you are getting somewhere. Other people will be waiting to get you at your weakest point and nail you for it. There are more important and very serious things happening in that company that could jouperdize them totally and put company into disrepute. Do not let personal feelings block those good people still working there doing their utmost best to keep this company on the map no matter what. Work came first all the time with a smile. I worked with s great team that taught me s lot about the job itself and what it entails as well as growing my character so much that I could see myself in a management position as lead with confidence in giving our clients the vest ever service and humbled myself where I was wrong and accepted chritisim from both internal and external customers.

Company deals with airlines.....working with passengers.......shipping cargo good in and out...grow staff in terms of on going trainings.....looking for safeyy within the airports in SA......help youth with aviation experience........

Excellent learning curve on the aviation industry
By working at Menzies I have learnt lot about aircrafts and the tourism industry. What I do is approaching arrival flights,chock the and put cones around them for safety purposes. Oprate cargo holds doors and offload and loading of baggage and cargo.
Pros: Good opportunitie to learn about the traffic of people and goods

VERY GOOD FOR LEARNING HOW TO WORK AS A TEAM
It was a very busy Airport and diverse environment. There was a lot of pressure but, it was not felt as everyone worked as a team. Making sure fuelers are operating all equipment correctly, hooking on and off the aircraft, following all safety procedures and avoiding damaging the aircraft or equipment. Assisting fuelers with operating equipment and completing their duties on time and safely. It was challenging and exciting at DFW Airport, working at the largest airport in the world by land size.
Pros: A lot of opportunity for growth
Cons: harsh weather conditions especially during the snowstorms
