Excellent learning curve
Based at the head office where there is about +- 300 employees where we all know one other which makes it simple to get along and work well, I love cross trading and upskilling myself so as to understand what other departments do and how the affect my space,most challenging aspect of my job is when we have to account for failures \errors and provide thorough feedback.
Pros: Small company where its easier to get along and work well amongst each other
Cons: growth can be limited when working for a small company

Received an Award in 2014
It quite a good bank to start your career where you get to know new things eg Finance is divided into 3 divisions. We have got GL Team, Reporting Team , Creditor and Procurement Team. and i got a chance to experience other division as well. The relationship with my co-worker is super good we communicates effectively respond to each others email.
Pros: Giving award to the hard working employee
Cons: We do work overtime if we deadline especially on month end.

I HAVE GAIN SO MUCH WITHIN THE TIME I WORKED FOR MERCANTILE BANK AND VARIOUS LAW FIRMS
I REGARD MYSELF AS HAVING A HIGH DEGREE OF INTEGRITY; PERSEVERANCE; WITH THE ABILITY TO MOTIVATE PEOPLE AT ALL LEVELS. I ALSO SEE MYSELF AS A SOCIABLE PERSON WHO ADAPTS EASILY AND CAN DEAL WITH PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE. I FEEL THAT I AM POISED TO ENHANCE MY PEOPLE SKILLS IN ANY FIELD OF WORK THAT MAY REQUIRE ME TO I SERVICE ALL ATTORNEYS WHICH OUR ON OUR BANK PANEL FOR THE BOND REGISTRATION, BOND CANCELLATION, AND MORTGAGE ONLINE INVESTMENTS, I DRAFT ALL SECURITY DOCUMENTS, APPROVE PAYMENT ON REGISTRATION OF PROPERTY, ENSURE THAT WE HAVE ALL INSURANCE IN PLACE DRAFTING WELCOME LETTERS, E-NATIS DOCUMENTS AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PAID UP. HAVE ALSO WORKED AS THE SECRETARY TAKING MINUTES EVERY TUESDAY MORNING WHICH WAS OUR EXCO MEETING WITH THE CEO AND OTHER HEA OF THE DEPARTMENT PREPARING PACKS FOR OUR NEXT MEETING. DEALING WITH BIG ACCOUNTS WHERE CLIENT WE NO LONGER PAYING FOR HE LOAN WE GAVE THEM AS A BANK, IT WAS VERY CHALLENGING JOB AND I ENJOYED GOING.
Pros: I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH BECAUSE I MANAGE TO KNOW MOST OF THE PRODUTS THAT OUR BANK OFFER TO CLIENT FROM OPENING OF NEW ACCOUNT TO CLOSING, INVESTMENTS, HOME LOAN, VEHICLE FINANCE, MEDIUM TERM LOAN AND CREDIT CARD
Cons: NY HOURS WERE 7.30 TO 16.00 BUT SOMETIMES I WILL WORK MORE HOURS WHICH IT WAS NOT AN OVERTIME

Best innovator
I have worked at mercantile bank and enjoy working there with different stakeholders amd my duties was to gather requirements from clients within mercantile bank departments and analyse current situation for what their system looks like so that i can design a solution. I had good relationship with colleagues because at mercantile bank you wear a company brand and live mercantile way interma of respect, trust, and commitment were there is 100percent accountability and 0 excuse. I have enjoyed the most part in mapping business processes and design workflows that lead me to document business requirements specification.most challenging part i came across was stakeholders availability because during pay day of mercantile you can't find them and that's the time i was challed because my due date for most .I have learned to respect, meet deadlines and deliver accurate work.

Great working environment and very team orientated
very busy on some days but we work very well with my colleagues, I enjoy how our team can work independently without supervision and we are always here when needed.

Challenging
Challenging day to day tasks which I thoroughly enjoy. Satisfying the customer needs and expectations is always prioritised. I engage and depend on multiple departments in order to achieve my daily and monthly tasks, eg account opening who would capture the applications approved by myself, administration department who would assist in resolving admin queries and and external technical department who is responsible for implementing the POS terminals and resolving all technical queries. Clientside are demanding in the payment world therefore day to day activities are rather challenging yet satisfying as optimum client satisfaction is deemed as a priority.
Pros: Excellent client exposure

Great position that involves both face to face and telephone acquiring of new clients
My position involves acquiring new clients in the Credit card machines department. It is a target based position and i enjoy working towards exceeding my target. Its a team based environment and I learn on a day to day bases from different situations and from my colleagues. I love going out for the cold calling sessions. Great communication skills have enabled me to easily close down the deals. The most challenging aspect of this position is that there are limited access to the client's profile. Once the client is in the books i would love to keep track and build a long term relationship with the client rather than only a 3 months relationship then the client is taken over by a different individual.
Pros: Great learning opportunities the more i interact with clients and team members
Cons: After the first 3 months of signing off a new client it gets handed over to the Relationship consultant yet i would prefer servicing the client through and through.

Learning
I’m a highly motivated and hardworking individual, who is currently busy studying for my Bachelors Degree in Management and Leadership. I have 7 year Management Experience and 4 years in Process and Business Analysis. I am ambitious in any task put in my way. I believe in exceeding in all my roles. Accepting challenges is the foundation of my life experiences and something I do with confidence. From past experiences and education, I have acquired persuasive techniques that are needed to influence customers in making choices. My leadership skills are developed and have allowed me to spontaneously interact with ethnic diverse populations and all age groups. I am a motivator and organizer and these skills have enabled me to effectively defuse problem situations with diverse role-players. My analysis skills have assisted me in formalising documentation for projects to be implemented successfully. Teamwork is another skill I have acquired and one I know is necessary for organisational excellence.

Experience at current workplace
My current role entails a lot of administration. We have system that could help but are not fully functional. I do at least 5 to 6 reports per quarter and sometimes per month and all of this is manual. I co-ordinate training venues and catering. I have a good relationship with the team. I do feel limited as I am not learning anything new from my previous company. There is favoritism which limits my career. The challenge is that I had remote access from home and could work when there is a crisis and catch up whilst on leave but now you literally have to come into the office whilst on leave if there is a crisis. The company has potential for future development but resources are limited which limits the individual to grow.

Cons: no break from the office even whilst on leave, no scope for growth

I work in a small team we're everybody is committed and hardworking. We have each other's back and work well in the team. I enjoy the challenges that comes with the work
