Excellent experience

Every night, at midnight I go into office and start giving my classes an hour after arrival once I have finished my prep for the day. I teach 5-8 classes a night varying in class size, language level and age groups. I work through slideshows and mainly help with pronunciation and grammar. I love teaching these classes. My co-workers and I all have a close relationship and everyone is very supportive. I have learnt to work with a whole new spectrum of various cultures and I have learnt so many new views. I honestly enjoy the atmosphere within the workplace the most as all of my colleagues and Team Leaders have great relationships and respect for each other. The most challenging part was just learning the system at first, but it has become second nature to me very fast.

Pros: Great opportunity to increase your salary based on performance
Cons: working night shift

Worst company to work for

Management definitely has no clue on managing anything, the payroll lady does payments manually hence employees are constantly robbed close to R1500 monthly to cover the expenses of the company. No one cares about the employees, there's nepotism as the boss's daughter gets promoted over the deserving employees, she gets to take December leave and everyone else works throughout Christmas and all the other public holidays, if you miss any public holidays you get a written warning which will lead to dismissal. Long working hours (11 hours at most) with a maximum of 4 unpaid breaks. Half days which lead to less salaries at the end of the month as you get paid on the hours taught and not the hours spent at work. You teach two sessions in one hour but only get paid for one session taught per hour (R35-55). There is nothing good about working at MPC Centurion except teaching the international students who are wonderful people with others being a pain.

Pros: Laid back environment, great students to teach
Cons: Lack of management skills, low low salary for working as a slave for long hours

Learning to teach , patience , passionate ,

A typical work day is where you plan your day . basically planing how you going to teach each lesson and help the students understand what you are teaching them . In order to this you need to be very polite , have passion of excellence and be very patient and be able to think on your feet because you may be asked to explain . Your day cannot go by if you are not surrounded by individuals who are happy and eager to strive and work and provide the best service as they can . I get along with everyone so its easy to talk to anyone and share and learn new ideas from other individuals

Pros: Part of the social committee
Cons: little challenging

Brilliant learning curve

Working for my company is absolutely amazing. The staff and clients are wonderful and I am subjected to a warm and comforting environment every day I come to work. I work from 8:30 up until 18:30, so long hours are not a problem for me. My co-workers are friendly and offer support and help anytime you ask for it. I have gained the power of patience and this is what I have enjoyed the most. I have had to deal with difficult clients and overeager visitors, but always completed the task successfully.

Pros: Amazing staff
Cons: Work on weekends

Excellent learning curve

Always looked forward to a day in the office as speaking to clients and solving their concerns in relation to the product gave life and meaning to everyday space. Hence,MPC gave me an opportunity in the hardest industry, as it equipped us with how to handle customers. The management was always on our disposal to assist us in helping customers and other personal issues. The hardest part of the job was when clients did not receive much satisfaction in the previous assistance

Pros: enganging with employees all the time
Cons: Long working hours

Absolutely brilliant learning curve,

Each day at MPC is filled with fun and laughter. I have never had such a fun job, with so many brilliant people to work with. Everyday is a new challenge dealing with clients that are not one the same.I enjoy teaching and learning at the same time, although patience can be a challenge, I have learnt to deal with even the most difficult of clients in a respectful manner.

Pros: Great job opportunity
Cons: Work on weekends.
