Having worked at Platinum Life has taught me the ability to be patient, mastering telephone etiquette, conflict resolution, thinking on the spot for solutions, how to engage a client and keep them intrigued in what you're saying. These are just some of the things I have learnt there amongst others. The work culture was amazing as I worked with my age mates which made it easier to make friends and engage. The ambiance was always top notch we would have music playing in the background, competitions, team meetings that help build you as an individual and my colleagues were just amazing people to work with.

Great growth opportunity for a first job

A typical working day for a telesales agent at Platinum Life is making about 250-400 calls to assigned leads. The goal is to reach a target of 20-25 addresses of people who have given addresses where promotional gifts can be delivered as a means of advertising. My co workers help me improve my strategies for higher conversion rates and to discuss common problems we may be experiencing about the work. What I enjoy is that feeling of satisfaction after making target and even going over target. The most challenging aspect about this job is convincing people on the phone that you are actually doing them a favor and not trying to scam them or sign them up to binding contracts.

Pros: Great opportunity for making money that is not limited to salary but is commission based
Cons: The job is unpredictable and there are a lot of factors that are not in your control that can affect how well do your job.

Young people environment

Platinum Life gives their employees a chance to grow and change life fast. Great work environment. Employees work under pressure everyday. I have learnt to relay more on myself and focus. You need to be self-motivated and know how to work with different people from different backgrounds. I enjoyed marketing to prospect clients and clients to get/upgrade their Cancer Cover and send them Information regarding the company.

Pros: Great opportunity to make Money, Time Incentives.
Cons: Long Working hours, Work under pressure everyday.

Marketing Milestone

My work experience in the marketing industry at this company has certainly taught me about branding, liaising and collaborating. My natural skills regarding organizational skills, communication and networking has grown in such a way that I believe I am able to establish these skills and abilities in a pro-active and passionate environment. That is what I've enjoyed the most. Working as a Marketing Executive has given me the opportunity to work so many different people as well as motivate and development their skills and my own. No day is a typical work day. My relationship with my co-workers is always professional and synergy remains to be part of our main focus points.

Pros: Relocating to Cape Town and Excellent opportunity for a new challenge and change.
Cons: Lacking in challenges.

Great learning curve

The day consists of dialing leads that they give you. They are not enough and may demoralize you, but they teach you objection handleling. It is high pressure and entails you as a trainee to have high levels of confidence because getting rejected is hard.

Pros: Commission and incentives
Cons: Long hours, no security

Platinum life is a great company but has a bad management..there�s a lot of ..they have the best environment..they must make more opportunities for promotions so that they can have workers who what to do more

I adapt easily in new environments

Willing to take on new adventures, will to learn more and grow I'm vibrant and fun and enjoy working with people, I enjoy being around new people I have fun when I'm helping people and providing them with solutions I am good at communication and I persuade professionally and have fun when people listen to my solutions provided it solves their problems.

Working at Platinum Life (The Box Fashion) I've learnt that consistency is important , I had to work fast and in coordination with the permanent staff . I got along really well with all the employees in my division and grasped what I had to do very quickly . What I enjoyed most about the job was that I had to push myself each and every day to achieve more than I did the day before . The most challenging part about the job was when I had to offload stock of the trucks

Pros: It was my first job so I got experience in logistics as well as being paid a decent amount for the amount of work that I had to do
Cons: Amount of stock that has to be prepared differs day to day , as well as the fact that it was a temp job with no notice of when I would be finished with the job

Beautiful environment!!!

Platinum Life was one of the BEST companies I've worked for. Everyday i would go to work with a smile knowing very well it'll make me to do more sales. My colleagues were like family to me until i noticed that there was no growth despite of making more commission. In life i had to be disciplined to produce more numbers. I had to sacrifice more time practicing on pitches. The most I've enjoyed about my previous job was MAKING MORE SALES!!! and IT'S REWARDS!!!!. I FEAR NOT making my daily target, cause i know very well it might affect my commission

Pros: Platinum Life has 4 branches. My branch was had the smallest employees therefore it made me not to see myself having growth.
Cons: 9hours Excellent!

Good learning curve.

It is awlrling fornthe clmpany pleasurThe staff gives me the energy needed to strive to male the ameet the objectives.Althougb there is pressure to reach salea as the salary is commission based it is a good motivation to require personal growth.e

Pros: The pros include good team work.motivation to grow on a professional level and most importantly the work environment
Cons: Long working hours and pressure to achieve sales.
