My Drama

-I am responsible for the development of implementation plans based on HR Priorities since pre-and-post the Section 197 (b) transfer, and the delivery of HR practices from Head Office to the Colleges of Education (CET) Colleges in the nine provinces. -The high level post-transfer issues include change management, standardising conditions of service for all affected employees, decentralisation of HR systems, policies/ standard operating procedures (thus training thereof). -Growth points: consultation sessions with different stakeholders (staff, management and unions), change management, project management. -Exciting days: strategizing/ brainstorming with different stakeholders on crisis issues and coming up with solutions, seeing the implementation of those solutions -Challenging aspects of my job: getting "buy-In" from the department's Senior Management team.

Pros: Making an impact to the bigger scheme of things (the knowledge that the sector will be a better one in the future)
Cons: The "red-tapes" that one needs to overcome

It was an amazing learning curve for me.

By working at my company for the last few months has been an educative experience. I have learnt how to work well with my colleagues and that you need to have patience with people. ' The most challenging aspect of the job is when clients come to me asking about information I have not yet recieved from my boss.

Pros: There's a great opportunity to be employed
Cons: There are already too many interns in the admin area
