Excellent growth opportunity in a multinational organisation
I always set myself ambitious goals and these are translated into the following 5 senses: 1. A sense of calling. Members of my team must know and remind themselves every day, that our work is critically important. Our mission is simply: to execute the IA audit plan to unprecedented levels of quality and make a significant value contribution to improving the control environment and the performance of the organisation. 3. A sense of pride. To achieve our mission, we must take pride and ensure that there is Quality in Everything We Do! Take every opportunity to ensure that the work we deliver, the emails we send, the preparation for meetings, the way we interact with each other and with the client, the way we dress, that all of this, enhances our individual brands. 4. We must all understand our mission which is simply: to execute the internal audit plan to unprecedented levels of quality and make a significant value contribution to improving the performance of the business. It is vitally important that we understand our role within the team and how it contributes to achieving the mission.3. A sense of pride. If we are going to achieve our mission, we must take pride and ensure that there is Quality In Everything We Do! 4. A sense of urgency. This does not mean rushing to complete a task and therefore compromising on our quality: it does mean being diligent and focussed. 5. A sense of ownership. Take ownership! Don't pass the buck!

Excellent training
• Greatsoft transactional capturing; • Reconciling time from time sheets with Greatsoft; • Work-in-Progress Management; • Creation of invoices to clients; • Debtor collection; • Management of contractors’ contracts, their payment and monitoring the firm’s contractual obligations; • Communication on outstanding debtors with Senior Managers and Directors; • Preparation of all payment requests for approval for all expenses in the units; • Leave capturing and time management on Greatsoft and ESS; • Managing of ‘Planned vs. Actual’ time of personnel; and • Statement reconciliations between Finance Division and the three operational units.

Excellent learning curve
Work overtime and unpaid. No support for difficult clients from Director. It was a great business exposure fot me to be able to deal with such a client.

Excellent value add to companies' achievement of their goals
I have a good working relationship with co-workers. A typical day is goingthrough the clients documents to understand their processes , risk and internal controls.

Poor treatment by executive management
Ran like a spaza shop. Has poor benefits. You pay 100 for your medical aid and compant forces you to use sizwe or discovery as if they are paying for you. It's known for macro management. Targets are set high and never met, meaning no salary increase. There is no 13th cheque. You are not allowed to make a single personal call using the company phone.

Quality and excellency
I report to two Directors for two different units as well as two Associate Directors. I assist with the daily diary management. Client relations management is very important in my position. I have learnt the importance of being the brand ambassador of the Company i work for. Quality is another important aspect with my role. I have mastered time management because I report to so many Directors.

Time management
Typical work day is to meet deadlines and priorities task to ensure efficiency. Relationship: I kept it strictly professional. What i have learnt: Better time management can assure efficiency in the day to day work duties. Working with clients i can related too, preferably in relations to speaking the same language. Its always difficult to work with people that can related too, but always to remain calm and focus on the job task at hand.
Pros: Internal Audit is a great opportunity for career advancement
