Truworths is a great workplace,ever since I started working there I've learnt a lot.
I started working as a sales consultant from 2010 and I got promoted to my current position. I have gained a lot of experience "business wise ",Fashion and how to deal with customers.Im looking to be in a new environment because I feel I have served enough in the company and chances of growing are very slow,so I don't feel challenged anymore.
Pros: It is a good plac of work,especially when you love working with people and the love of fashion.
Cons: I normally work from Monday to Saturday,the working hours are fine,but need a change

My Job Review
Im a store manager since 2008. Typical work day includes: safe check, procedures checks, stock counts, staff meeting unpacking and capturing stock, attending to emails from Head Office and Area Manager. I get along well with co-workers. I believe treat others the way you would like to be treated. I have learnt alot regarding retail, IR, administration and people interactions. I enjoy administration and training staff. The process of the stock counts are challenging.
Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Long working hours and every second weekend

Excellent learning curve
At truworths I worked as a cross trained, and I enjoyed every minute of it because I got a chance to deal with customers everyday and I learnt a lot on how to treat a customer and I also learnt basics about admin and service desk

Excellent learning experience
Working at truworths was a great experience even thou it needs someone who is active someone who can multitask but with the efforts I made,I managed to get through it all My relationship with the manager was a strong one that she even promoted me to being a beauty consultant for Revlon

Excellent learner
making sales on the floor ,approach and assist customers as they enter the shop, help customers to pay for their goods by bieng a cashier ,answering the telephone,receiving scaning and merchandising stock

It is a great opportunity to learn more about retail.
I entered Truworths through learnership and so far it has been a tremendous experience. Working with different kinds of people from day to day is exciting.I also have friendly and lovely colleagues who are very patient with the new staff.We had a very long day during the BLACK FRIDAY weekend as the customers were flooding in, it was hectic.

Am a peoples person who likes to seeve and help people. And am a fast learner who's willing to learn and be exposed to new environment. And this this experience I have learned to be able to work under pressure and still be able to meet deadlines.

Customer service knowledge
Having to work under pressure and dealing with all relevant departments in the store, customer liaison sometimes entails a bad experience for one working in the environmental

Excellent learning curve
I am a technically minded, team player and a professional individual with good problem resolution skills, disciplined, integrity and people management skills. I have good leadership, analytical and communication skills. I was working as a Mechanical Fitter at SANDF (SA Navy), Fleet Maintenance Unit Mechanical workshop. I provided maintenance services to the SA Navy Submarines and surface vessels. I also provided technical advice to the ship and submarine staff when required. I have a good engineering knowledge as I work with both mechanical and electrical systems and I have hands on experience as a mechanical fitter. My duties and responsibilities included ensuring the operation, maintenance and repair of all machinery and systems in the ships and submarines. I am currently working as a technician at Truworths Distribution Centre. I hold a Red Seal Diesel Fitter trade test. I am also a qualified Mechanical Fitter and Diesel Fitter (military trade test) with N3 mechanical qualification.
