Review

Up to September last year I was actively involved in curriculum development and training both for face2face and online via Blackboard. Most nights I had 5 hours sleep due to the deadlines that had to be met. I would not do this again. I was in the end part a multiracial development team each of who had tasks. My main task was online course development and design. Also assisted in getting assessments online. The development team had an excellent team spirit. I enjoy designing the curriculum the most and creating interactive training courses. Training was very easy for me and students always evaluated my high but the creative side was more satisfying.

Pros: Doing what I loved best design and training and seeing the difference it made in upliftment of students skills
Cons: Long hours, no family time, unreasonable deadlines,

Excellent in learning

My course in Finance has given me solid base upon which I plan to build my career which will allow me to learn important skills and develop the confidence needed to succeed in a competitive environment. I was an active student during my study; I have served as a class representative of Public Finance for three years. Through my experience in mentorship and tutoring at TUT, I gathered good communication skills and am able to present my ideas in a fluent and confident manner. I am able to work under pressure and meet dead lines as required.

Pros: Great opportunity for work empowerment
Cons: Short contract

Excellent learning curve

A typical day at work starts with a meeting and we discuss previous events that took place that were not good for the company and we can rectify them in future. Through doing this on a regular I have learned to be more responscibile in assessing tasks and in planning our work and most importantly I have learned to be a team player

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Short working hours

Good place for learning

I have an experience in Electrical Engineering which I have obtained during my P1 and P2 training that I have done for a period of 14 month with Tshwane University of Technology In association with University of North-West and Ilive Sustainable Development. Although I have that experience I still believe there is more that I need to learn to become a great technician. During my P2 training I have learnt about Electrical, Plumbing and Civil Construction on the project that we have built of creating a Bio-diesel Plant.

Pros: Great place to explore new designes
Cons: Needs dedicated workers

My working experience as library shelver

They say "university is just group of building gathered around the library" without the library the is no university , Tshwane south library its 2 floor building a very interesting environment to work at, you get to meet people and make sure they get the help with what they need. its like iam working at the retail store the library operate exactly like a retail store. my relationship with my colleagues its a very good relationship because we all both depend on one another to keep the work going its a train on the rails if one rails is out of the line the train is not going any where. What i have learn is skill on how to work and respect other people. what i have enjoyed is when i help people what they want and we both walk away with smiles. the most challenging part is that you have to shelve books at the same time help each and every student to find the books on the shelves while your busy helping one the others fill like your not giving them attention they mess up the shelve.

Pros: great oppotunity for promotion
Cons: long working hours
