I am a hard working person who is willing to develop my career and learn every day

my duties include general administration work making sure that the venue is neat and usable when there is test and exam handling and caring of tests and exam question paper to the venue before and after test and exam attending to students with general questions. my working relationship with co-workers is good as we respect each other. i have learn a lot since 2010 eg. how to handle students from different background, culture and interacting with them. i enjoy moving around the venue while the test or exam is process. The most challenging aspect of invigilating is when you caught students who are cheating and write a report about it.the other challenge is that you must have concrete evidence that the student was cheating

Pros: i think the chance of getting promoted are slim because we work on part time basis only if there is test or examination
Cons: it depend on the length of the paper

Great learning opportunity and academic world on chemical engineering

Working a masters student is both exciting and challenging at the same time. The challenging part of the work involves balancing academic and non-academic aspect of my life. Due to the long and irregular hours (usually 12 hours a day) required, it is difficult to engage in other non-academic activities. The upside of this that; I get to spend a lot of time with my colleagues, thus, further improving our relationship. A typical day usually involves a 12-hour cycle, that is, 12 hours at work and 12 hours away from work. During the 12 hour cycle I spend working, I maintain a bioreactor by making sure that it stays sterile and running. As part of my duties as a teaching and laboratory assistant to undergraduate students, I have to supervise all experiments undertaken by undergraduate students as well as grading their work. Time management has been one of my biggest lessons that I have learnt thus far. Such a lesson has allowed me to develop a good work ethic

Pros: exposure to the academic side of chemical engineering
Cons: Long and unpredictable working hours

Good learning curve

its a day of at least 10 tasks a day ranging from a password reset to network routing problem.at the medical campus where im currently located i have 3 colleagues and a team leader whom i believe we have a good work ethic and team work. I started this job when i was coming from a microsoft internship, was given someone to shadow for a week and got my own tasks from there.the contract was initially a 2 month trial which has lead to me been here for about 2 years where i got to practically learn all the things i have learn before the actual job. customer satisfaction is what i enjoy most,if i can resolve a task i will research to ensure that i eventually resolve it within the SLA unless it needs to be escalated.

Pros: I was provided an opportunity to get practical experience to align with my education
Cons: the company doesnt believe in internal growth and theres no opportunity to be absorbed permanently

I am currently unemployed but I was a tutor last year

A typical day at the office was constant interaction with students then after tests we would mark intensely. I would share the office space with coworkers and we learnt how to work as a unified group. Tutoring tought me patience, listening skills, multi-tasking and managing my time What I enjoyed was helping someone get a good grade. The challenging aspect was marking essays and granting marks accordingly.

Pros: Salary
Cons: Interference with school
