I have been working as an independent consultant since leaving ABSA for the past 18 months.
I am currently running a consolidation and revamp project for Liberty Life Head office. I was brought in by DEC as an independent consultant to run this project for them. I do this with a full professional team of consultants. We are about to conclude the business case to be presented to the board which would then make a decision on the project.
Pros: The work is very interesting and cutting egde as were are designing for the introduction of a paradiphm shift interms of a workign culture
Cons: The work is dependent on the business case being approved by Liberty

Online Trainer
Training migrated clients from old business channel to a new Global Platform, Training contains assisting clients with payments, beneficiaries, statements, that included ( creating, importing, exporting, scheduling etc) Training is done with the system called Webex or onsite, Mails purpose of the training is to teach the clients to work independently on the system and be comfortable with it
Pros: I would love to grow within the company and believe your company dies give theur employees that opportunity

Ambitious
I personally believe that my experiences make me a strong candidate for this opportunity because I am a problem solver, team player and I am a professional. Therefore, these experiences over the years have prepared me for this opportunity. Other skills that I will use in this career is fast learning, strong leadership skills and being well organized. I am able to take responsibility of this opportunity immediately as I have the determination and enthusiasm to make a success of it.

Before you earn, you work
A day wasted is money lost , big company and competition amongst colleagues is too high let alone our company's competitors. It was a great opportunity for me.

Online trainer
I have learnt to work with various people. my job was to train corporate clients on using a Banking payment system, which was very challenging and exciting. I learnt how to navigate various computers as clients used different ones. Using different accounting packages by exporting payments out of it and importing it, into the banking system. traveling to different locations for on site training, Capturing my teams stats at the end of the day for accurate client reports. Assisting my colleagues and manager when they needed assistance. I am a confident bubbly person and enjoy different challenges I face in life.

Limited Diversity
When I look at ABSA, I do see diversity. But diversity on different levels. You'll find a certain group on a certain level within the company. Certain groups will never escalate while other groups, well, the sky is the limit for them. I've been working for ABSA for a while now and I've seen this with my own eyes

Learning something new everyday
At my current job we work in a high pressure environment which is filled with new things to learn on a daily basis. There is always a something new to learn everyday and new concepts are introduced quite often in my line of work and that keeps me on my feet. Most of the learning is side by side learning and buddying with our co workers so we depend on the more experienced team members for guidance which makes it important to develop relationships with each and every person on the floor. I mostly enjoy being able to interact with different clients from all over the country, from different backgrounds and being able to laugh with the clients who exude so much energy and have a strong sense of humor. It can be a great challenge when you have an irate client who is not having a good day, but making them feel understood and letting them know that you want to help them can change all of that.

My responsibilities at work
i work 5 days a week and saturday is optional. my role is a floor manager is to make sure that every client is following the right que and they leave the branch a happy client. i relate with my collegues in proffessionally in both business and personally. we learn from one another. i have learned that i need to respect clients as well as my collegues, do everything with intergrity, service the client with the best of my ability, excell in everything that i do and display leadership at all times and go an extra mile. i enjoy working with people as you learn from them and they also learn from you. you learn new things everyday of your life. the most challenging part of my job is to see the client quiry not being sorted out ASAP because it was reffered to the third party for resolution.
