It was a new company with a very youthful environment.
Duties and responsibilities. : After training, cold calling was my main responsibility until such time that I had signed a client. After which you are assigned warmer leads that you call, tell them more about the medical insurance that the company offered (sales pitch) and if they are interested then I would fill out an application form over the recorded line and take the clients details down on CRM after closing the clients I send through the sale to QA (Quality assurance agents) to check validity of the sale.
Pros: Very tight knit team
Cons: Commission only and it's only 3.25%

Lack of opportunities and growth not being paid for what you ate worth
small company trying to find itself by exploiting employees knowledge and skills and underpaying them with no benefits and allowances. employees are not being paid for what they are worth however it is expected of them to go an extra mile by working overtime and not being compensated for their services. there is no African senior officials, preference is given to whites over black people the CEO is a great man that checks up on the company and its employees however the senior executives or management do not know how to treat their staff and promote a healthy work environment and culture for its employees that is one of the reasons why there is a high staff turnover because employees are not happy with the way they are treated and the work environment
Pros: acquire new skills
Cons: no opportunities for growth and little salary

Exposure to extensive travel and closing deals at Executive Level with South African Boarders.
I love working on completing my schedule for the day and doing more as a bonus. I am a Team Player but loves competition, exceeding expectations and leading in a team brings satisfaction to me. I've learnt that it is so important to have confidence in yourself at all cots in order to win people who are listen to you. I enjoy the travel part of my job. Working 7 days with no rest as I was exposed a lot to that but at the same time I enjoyed as it stretched me so much.
Pros: I'm willing to be stretched out of my comfort zone.
Cons: Week days

Challenging and a very good learning experience.
My tipical work day consists of the following - preparation of interview packs for all floors(morning) - reference checks(in between interviews) - regret letters( if candidates are not successful) - weekly reports(Friday afternoon) - advert reports(Friday afternoon) - new engagement list - designers - Biometrics (fingerprints and reports) - dofa submissions - job analysis/advert/spec/description - interview schedules and feedback Relationship with co-workers are very well, as in any business you have you hiccups and misunderstandings but overall i have a good relationship with my co-workers. Leanings within the company thus far - criminal checks (just started learning) - Biometric systems - Dofa's - weekly reports - Debarment checks - Advert reports What i enjoy the most would be - Admin overall The most challenging aspect of the job - Biometrics systems
Pros: Working Hours

I have Learnt a lot of sales and telephone skills and ettiquette
Working at affinity health has taught me alot about sales as well as financial service providing companies and how they operate. A typical day in the office entails of speaking to customers who have shown interest in our product as well potential clients who never did(cold calls) I learnt different approaches for different kinds of people as well as how to read a customer by the way they speak, this has helped me close alot of deals as challenging as it can be.
Pros: Great opportunity to learn
Cons: Strict working conditions

Good learning curve
The HR department gives much support to the employees. The feeling of meeting targets and heading a strong team is much fulfilling. I have learned to manage my time effectively and to produce the best results. The end of the month reporting and pressure from Agents who were mistakenly short paid, was more challenging, and being able to solve the problem have me a feeling of fulfillment. Having to meet deadlines with short staff was very challenging but through effective communication with the managers and all parties involved, we manage to pull through. In spite of misunderstandings sometimes, The team spirit we had was heart warming. Thank you
Pros: Opportunity.for growth was there, but took a long time.
Cons: The working hours were good.
