Great learning opportunites

anglogold ashanti its a great company to work for, it has developed me in terms of training and exposure to new section such as supervision, preparation quality standard, acting quality personnel, and funding me since i am busy with my b tech. i have made a great friendship with the staff and management they are have friendly torwards me since i have developed a good relationship with them. the challenging issue we are facinh noe is thr section 189 which hinders our development as employees and minimizing a chance to be promoted.

Cons: controlled by unions which delay out progression

Electrical work

I am hard working especially electrical work eg faul finding, distribution boards, wiring panels or circuits basic in intsrumation, basics in lift equipment etc..my first value at work is safety . for my self and cor workers.

Excellent learning curve

A typical workday consist of proper planning and organizing to be as productive as possible. I value relationships, and therefore i have trust built and open relationships with my colleagues, i have knowledge of HR and Training related legislation and provide guidance where required. I have learnt that experience is important, you may be able to study but you have to be able to apply the learning in the workplace. The best part of my job is when I completed a job or task and i can see how it added value to the department/company.

Excellent learning curve, dynamic environment.

I did all my daily jobs in cooperation with all the mining departments. I had a very good interaction and relationship with all the mining departments and stakeholders. I have learnt leadership and most importantly communication skills and that has helped me a great deal in achieving the best outcomes. I enjoy solving problems especially where there are issues pertaining a mining sequence or there is no plan of achieving a certain mining target. The most challenging part in the job was to multitask when there was a life of mine that was expected of us and had to combine it with my daily work it was the most challenging part of the year.

Excellent communication skills

I am hard working person, punctual at all time.I am able to work under pressure and at anytime. I can work in a group,because I can communicate with people very easy.I am a fast learner and I am capable in doing any kind of job required.

Good learning and experience.

Working in the mining industry was a great experience for me and my skills and knowledge of the industry made me very proud. Working with different people and adapt easily to different kinds of environment and shifts thought me a lot. I really like the engineering jobs because they are challenging a lot. Challenging and situations and also difficulties in the Job really made the person that i am today.

The team pushes you to your greatest potential You feel included in everything they do The Financial Manager gives you the same work load as if you were a permanent worker
