I've got exposed to a lot of things

My work consist of software development. depending on the workload i have or the number of projects I've been given, i start with what is due soon and then the last 3 hours of work i focus on the projects that are due later. We are a small department so we are close and we always have team building sessions every month. I have learnt to work with large data sets on Python, learnt image processing using python opencv, opencv.js and matlab. I enjoy doing web design, i'm currently busy with 3d modelling using three.js. using three.js is currently the most challenging job i've done so far

Pros: I got exposed to a lot of programming languages
Cons: it's somehow hard to master a certain programming language because i hardly spend a lot of time on it

Bedding down the Turnaround Strategy

My job has been to bed down the Turnaround Strategy. This comes with its challenges of stakeholder engagement internally and externally especially resistance to change. Lessons learnt is to communicate and communicate. Focus on the bigger picture but also the details within my team, my EXCO. I’ve enjoyed the challenges of this transition period.

I am involved in a highly complex engineering development environment, application of quality assurance management make it easy to integrate into different manufacturing environments.

Pros: Very rigid in terms progression
Cons: Time is a factor, everything happens at a snails pace

Great Customer service platform

receive customer requests via telephone or email, do follow ups to get clarity where necessary. issue out a quotation according to the clients specification. ensure that memoranda reach the relevant divisions to share responsibilities so as to ensure, that the event is executed.

Pros: Great networking channels
Cons: long working hours

Learning Curve

My day starts at 8am and finishes at 5pm. I have a great working relationship with my co-workers. I love the challenges the on my day to day duties.

Autocratic management

Been struggling since i started when i found out that people in authority have NO MARINE EXPERIENCE.This leads to Great frustration among the workers when you get dictated to by someone who knows Nothing about the job requirements.

Pros: Salary is good
Cons: Authoritarian management style.
