Excellent learning curve
The 10 years that i have been in the department has not only made me skilled but taught me a lot about work ethic and stakeholder relations management. I have since decided to try my wings and look for other job opportunities to challenge me further and grow my skillset
Pros: Great platform for beginners and excellent mentors
Cons: Working with less resources against big expectations/targets

rrrrrrgrgrgrIt is state controlled, i have been lucky enough to work there for the past 2 years and have loved every bit of it. Working with other 5 sub office that are under the department was a bit challenging becuase i dealt with a massive amount of users. That provided challenges and pressures but nothing i have ever stressed about. I felt it was part of how the learning curve came about.IT support services come with socialising with users so in that area of interpersonal relation i made sure all user able to ask help with anything tech related which was heath for the working relationship. Definitely being on the road working at other offices was what I enjoyed the most
Pros: Work Appreciation
Cons: network downtime at times

Good learning experience, especially since it's a national office
When I started I was coming from a private sector where I was not office bound. I'm not complaining because even here we would travel from time. As we know that we learn more when we travel. I got to learn a lot about report writing, evaluation writing, capacity building, presentation skills are polished because we are forever presenting. Extensive knowledge on adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights, HIV/aids and working with young people. It is also a good environment to work, friendly staff ( hood staff morale), this is not to say we didn't have difference we did but we had our own way of dealing with and resolving our differences and move forward.
Pros: Personal development like trainings, short courses etc
Cons: Not so much promotion opportunities

Excellent learning experience
I had a I had a great time working at the Department. The staff members were friendly and were free to talk to. I had to attend to different clients on a daily basis based on their needs which would involve conducting an assessment for first time clients and holding therapeutic sessions for other clients.
Pros: Great opportunity for advancement and learning opportunities
Cons: Long working hours

Hard working.
I have a good working relationship with management and co-workers. I enjoy facilitating and do outreach with the staff and clients, report writing and admin work. The most challenging is to be confined in the office, I want to do home visits outreach outside the office. I’ve learnt to work under pressure and grow independently as a individual with my work
Pros: Senior Social Worker or A supervisor or Manager
Cons: I go extra miles with more than 8 hours if possible

I have worked in different departments like HR, Tranpory and supply chain .so the duties are somehow different and one of the most thing is that I have learned experience in recording information and also calculating skills for government vehicles and record them in requisition books. bsb
Pros: I had an opportunity to learn about values and ethics in the workplace
Cons: More filing of Documents
