It has been an awesome experience in which i have learnt a lot of the 9 years.
Working for DHL has been an absolute joy and enriching experience. Typical work day - Ops meeting, client reporting, financial call. Learnt - how to be a leader and not a manager - challenges - staff motivation when volumes are low.
Pros: Great organistaion to work for.
Cons: Not a lot of room for career advancement.

Excelent learning curve. Challenging.
In my current role as Coastal Region Accountant at DHL Supply Chain I complete the financial and commercial responsibilities Academically I have successfully completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Stellenbosch. I am now looking for a challenging new position and I am willing to relocate and cover the costs such as visas, work permits, etc. I am a strong leader and team player with an analytical approach to problem solving. My key qualities include excellent negotiation and time management skills, along with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

No room for growth
I have lean a lot fom DHL and have to explore somewere else , i am eager to lean new things and go extra miles. I am interested in this position as i believe i have the necessary skills and i am a fast learner.

It’s an excellent learning experience and I love the way it is helpful to my growth
I worked at Unilever first and I learned the operation of an FMCG and then last year joined DHL and seen a different site of safety in warehousing sector. I learned contractor management and waste management,training employees on be-safe and enzyme training, minor implementation of iso 14001 and compliance in the factories and warehouses,incident investigation and legal requirements standards
Pros: The professionalism of the company

Great working with global suppliers
Work with the top global name brands in retail and automotive industries. Management in my department was lacking but great senior management in other departments. High staff turnover makes for alot of negativity but been awesome working on the massive contracts and especially in the consumer market which I've become a specialist in. Not growth in my area but growth opportunities in other departments

Went through all ranks. from being dispatch clerk . transport supevisor to transport controller
it was great working for dhl supply chain as every task given was the challenge that shown me that am capable of excelling the another managerial positions as i was giving me a big scope of understanding how business is being run an in an out if everything corncening logistics company. an i was so priviledged to be the sides esteblisher. as i was used by the company to establish almost all gauteng branches. i also had a priviledge to work with different types of people an learn their culture an different aproach in those branches. i learn to build teams witch were able to work independently .
Pros: always the company was giving the the opportunity to grow
Cons: some wiil work long hours such as 6:00 to 22:00 during the strikes will work up untill the following morning to make sure that everthing runs smooth

Working at my current employer, is ever day a new experience that I'm living. Working in the steel industry its my first step to a better understanding of different industry professionals.

Great expereince & a good learning curve
It is a great experience working here, so much to learn regarding handling pressure, interpersonal communication with co workers, its always good to know that when things don't go well you can rely on someone for assistance (team work) like when system shuts down & you have to do everything manually & be extra cautious that was challenging to me at first but i can always manage having a well constructed team around me
Pros: recognition is very possible

The most challenging aspects of my job
coordinating deliveries and supply from various suppliers locally , nationally and international. Stock shortages which have potential of stopping production Suppliers not adhering to delivery schedules

I am a fast learning person
I am mr Phetole Edmond Selaelo,a person who enjoys working together with all races,a team player,hard working person who is dedicated to the work and a person who get too disappointed when a daily target is not met for that day.A responsible person who likes new ideas from co-workers.I enjoy learning new things from others.
