Excellent place to work at and for learning
Working at DUT under Student Housing and Res Life has been a great experience. The assistance one gets from the colleagues with the Director made the workload more fun for me. Everyday i get motivated because of the guidance from my supervisor

Excellent communication
My previous job has taught me the importance of clear communication and customer service over the phone and verbally, In my current role I resolve students problems, assisting with basic infomation and take accurate notes of conversations with students.I have received excellent performance evaluations from my managers and have been formally recognised by them for my contribution towards my department’s success.

Excellent learning
I have work as technician at the laboratory, running machines for practical of the student, maintenance for the machines if they is fault on its, I have learnt to solve technical problem of which some machines like( air-condition, Engine,cool tower) was challenges to maintain it, but i enjoy cause i was working with student explain the link between the theory part they have learn at lectures and the practical.
Pros: medium since i was part-time technician

Excellent in pastel evolution
I the above applicant would like to be considered for the open position, I am a very motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic, optimist, innovative and energetic person. I have covered a topic "Young People On the Move" on DUT Green Indaba panellist 2016. I can exceptionally work well with others to achieve certain objectives on time, I have gained critical skills to perform any task with precision and I believe I would be a great asset to the company. I am very disciplined and vital when it comes to deadlines. I am obedient and persistent because I never back down from a challenge. There is always room for improvement and I am always willing to learn new things. Excellent learning experience
I am a third year student, we go to the clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays to work from 8am -4pm Scope of practice is facials, massage, waxing, manicure, pedicures, specialized facials, G5, faradic, body analysis, reflexology, aromatherapy and hot stones, we also do retail on our clients, we do promotions. Working as a therapist gas taught me endurance, patience, to be confident and never hide away, taught me to be true to who you are, to be up in your skills most of all I have learnt the importance of professionalism. All of us are students still learning I can say that my relationship with my co-workers is stable for we are all the same, we are Students and we must understand each other and learn to live in tolerance with each other as far as our profession is concerned as well as our coordinators theythe are professional, the challenges that I face is dealing with rude clients but I am working on that as it is part if my job and what I like the most is working with people it brings joy to my soul.
Pros: Trains us for the outside world and good opportunity to be noticed.

You need to be honest at work
It is evident in my CV that I have leadership skills as I was a Student Representative Council at Durban University of Technology in 2015 and 2016 (SRC member) held a position as a Treasurer General of the SRC. I’ m also the former Leader of a student Organisation of the Black Management Forum student chapter (BMFsc) at DUT. This organizations is about developing managerial leadership to black people as we are the previously disadvantage people. I consider myself to be a person of our diverse society and every mission that I embark upon is with the intention of making a positive difference with a positive attitude. I am a very determined, vibrant, friendly, motivated client orientated person, who loves challenges. I love working as a team because, I believe that by working together as a team we can achieve and build a better South Africa for everyone.

Great learning experience
Working in Higher Institution of Learning is the great experience. You learn new things each and every day. You hardly see people who treat others as juniors here we are all academia the focus is on being a life long learner.

Great exposure to the corporate world.
A typical day would include checking emails for statements and invoices sent by the supplier .I worked very well with my co-workers as we were a team of great individuals who put the supplier first. I have learnt that you need to be tough in the accounts department as suppliers may take advantage of your kindness. What I enjoyed most at work was working with different kinds of people which exposes one to dealing with problems in different ways depending on the person you are dealing with.
Pros: Working with different business units which put me out in the open for my great work ethic.

High computer skills
I was great to be exposed to the field of work because I was learning different things that are based on technology I am a vibrant person who posse’s interest in learning new things as the technology is improving day by day with the integration of the knowledge that I have gained at the institute during the studying period. I am observant, co-operative, have good communication skills, able to work with a team and independently with minimal supervision, always adhering to instruction and company rules and regulations, always punctual with time, always like to keep the workplace (tools, equipment and machine) used neat as this can minimize accidents/any hazards and prolongs tools life span, and finishing the given task within the specified frame.
