Durban University of Technology Reviews

Exposure to Tertiary Institution Environment

Working for an instution gave a broad spectrum of different work ethics ranging from dealing with academics, undergraduates and postgraduates. Working in a computer laboratory environment gave the skills to work independently unsupervised and to work under pressure meeting deadlines and targets. Additionally I gained experience in dealing with Cloud Services plus installing, configuration and administering 100+ computers daily. Thats the least of tasks I had gained.

Pros: Great opportunitues to further one's studies
Cons: Redudancy of work plus I had reached ceiling in my department.

Excellent in academic excellence

Motivational Letter for Mr Sandile Mthembu   My interest in this Imfundo Enhle Bursary has prompted me to forward my Motivational letter for your review and consideration.    I am currently a final year student at Durban University of Technology in the faculty of management sciences doing a Business Administration Course. I have majored in Business Administration from Durban University of technology. I have participated in student development programs that seek to assist students during registration. I am also a student assistant working together with the Student Representative Council where I gained administration skills. Furthermore, I am also a part of the Vuna Leadership Academy that was recently launched to assist student leaders with leadership skills in the 21st century.  I am confident that I would make a successful addition to this position.   In addition, I offer significant experience of working with students

Pros: Great opportunity
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent learning

it is good to work there but there is too much work at the beginning of the year because the whole university becomes busy with registration, and the staff is so racist you find that in one department there is only blacks/whites/Indians , but if you know what you want you become used to it. what i learnt is that never say someone is abusing you when you are new at work because in most cases you find that they are helping you by teaching you how things are done.

Pros: you study for free if you are a staff member
Cons: long hours
