The organization itself is a great place to learn. It is however difficult to progress as many promotions are relationship and not capabilities based. The culture allows for great working relationships with colleagues Greatest lessson I have learnt working here is teamwork and consistently thinking outside the box The most challenging part of my job is the product houses who develop products that marketing creates campaigns for not understanding what marketing does or is as a function - therefore one does a consistent education job of how marketing goes beyond billboards , radio and TV

Exciting and changing portfolio each day
FirstRand holds a strong culture of innovation and setting the platform for followers in the market. Contributing to the organisation is fulfilling. I enjoy conducting field investigations and strange enough the legalities when conducting investigations. I have somewhat a passion for finding new fraud and trends alike together with raising fraud awareness. Remedying problems to avoid repeat fraud losses is where innovation sits.

I am hard working and enjoy to see success in my work
my current duties are to action daily report to ensure that process is being followed when doing account maintenance to avoid losses. Proactive supervision of people by Managing performance, skills development, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies. Processing orders and capturing orders on the system Processing monthly reconciliation to ensure right account is debited and credited Processing of Foreign Notes and Travellers Cheque’s from clients who have returned with unused currency we have a culture of maintaining good relationship with co-workers as we spend most of the day at work. I rejoice when we are able to resolve all queries and customer is satisfied with service provided. I have learnt that it is important to keep myself informed with changed and adapt to it. The most challenging aspect of my Job is time, I have to work accurate and be able to complete all my daily on time.

Groweth
I have being working for FNB for the past 10 years. I was allowed to learn and move around . The culture is that you need to up skill yourself as much as you can. I have don't call center, QA, team leader temp, projects, hosting talk show. I have assist with implementing of system as an expect. I have learn so much and I enjoyed the fact that I could be innovative . I started a talk show ,reason being addressing issues in more fun but productive way. I was able to be in small and big groups, I always believe that I spend more hours at work so I need to make fun. I plan events for the team and facilitate them. The more challenging thing is when the client decided to close their account. Even thou I able to convince many but I hate when the client decide to close their account .

Learnt a lot and want to grow outside the banking industry h
It is a good working environment as a whole, but retail banking is a different environment on its own with many challenges,and pressures.Every day is unique as you may not face the same challenges each day.

Nearer to home
Typical work day mornings are the most busy. On opening we have clients due for bloods. Booked for Doctor, a lot of family planning clients and Acute illnesses. Priority always given to the very sick. We have walk in clients/unbooked, and booked clients. Each patient is assigned 15minutes for consultation,30min. For counselling, medicals such as HIV tests and Medical exam. If there is an emergency, you go to the area and stabilize the patient before the ambulance arrives, or before sending to own doctor.
