Educate and up skilling of employees

During the course of my career as a Quality Analyst, which involved statistical analysis, problem solving, managing and executing processes, as well as project and risk management, I completed various certificates as well as my B-com degree in Financial Management all with distinctions. The Company promoted further education and promoted a culture of further development

Pros: Growth in various departments
Cons: inequality if salaries

Good learning curve

I am responsible for the HR strategy. I am also responsible for recruiting, retention and succession planning of top talent within the business. I also do salary and other work related negotiations with the unions where we operate on behalf of the company. I also ensure the skills gaps for top talent is closed via development plans for these individuals in line with our proposed company strategy.

Pros: Good opportunity to learn about labour laws and how HR operates in countries outside of South Africa
Cons: travel over weekends.

Excellent Management and Troubleshooting skills

Generally never a dull day at IBM under the WPP account, multiple crisis's on any given day. Clients all have different infrastructures and processes and polices.

Pros: Great global exposure
Cons: Extended hours, highly processed driven even though it hinders productivity.

A typical day at work is usually extremely busy. Almost not time for lunch. At IBM you never stop learning - no matter what you do. Everyday something new will be learned. Management is stern focussed and driven requiring a mature mindset. My job is not really hard. Just exceptionally challenging. Thinking, problem solving, innovation is some key characteristics of my job. What I get to learn and how I apply it.

Pros: Flexible working times and amount of learning.
Cons: Hours spent working.

Been a excellent learning curve.

I joined when I was still a junior I grew in the company, I leaned management skills and how to interact with clients. What I enjoyed the most was the opportunity to travel the world and learn different cultures around the business . Keeping the client happy when the client is always trying to find fault and not pay for service. I love my team from Management to the engineers it's a bliss to go to the office and interact with them. Daily I run status meetings and dispatch engineers fir the day and meet with stakeholders on the open actions and status lastly do reports. I love my Job

Pros: Good position for Business to recognise your talent
Cons: 24/7 service can be a pain.

Excellent learning curve and a vast ocean of knowledge available

Servicing customers needs are always hectic and therefore one has to be on their feet all the time to ensure customer satisfaction is met ALWAYS. I always enjoy challengers and therefore found my position rather overwhelming with the trend of learning new things everyday. The most rewarding feeling is being commended on work well done by a satisfied customer. In IBM team work is vital. IBM is a family and we work together to grow the company and drive it forward in a positive way. I always enjoy working with different people from around the world and thus making work more rewarding.

Pros: Great opportunity career wise to grow
Cons: Instability
