Excellent company to have worked for

Company great place to work.. friendly people.. I have been send for training to develop my skills.. I have learned a lot while working for Lonmin. I have been working with good friendly people and were always the one who can make a joke to relieve some stress of the people.. because of my personality people greeted me whom i've never known.. across all race i was respected as i respect all and stay humble..

Qualified fitter & turner

I'm qualified fitter and turner worked for anglogold Ashanti from 2005 to 2011 and joined lonmin I'm a dedicated worker. With mltiskill I have done boiler making skill.electrical skill. Rigging skill

Company with a great asset base

Lonmin is a great company to work for except that job security is at risk during the last 10-years. The company has access to an excellent asset base and a huge mineral resource base but due to ineffective management poor corporate discipline, has been unable to produce at name plate capacity. This low production has a direct influence on profits and sustainability.

Cons: Bad name due to link with Marikana strikes

Excellent learning curve

Lonmin is a great company to work for. Teamwork is an essential part of my daily tasks - liaising with the relevant standard committees and stake holders in order to make relevant changes / develop training material.

18 years work experience at Lonmin Platinum

18 years work experience at Lonmin, adapt easily, good team player and very hard working. Personal assistant to General Manager Mining from 2006 to date. Time factor, SAP orientated, interacting with Union/Management on daily basis.

Pros: Great Opportunity for promotion, good learning curve, working at Platinum mine, good exposure for Chrome mining

Hard working finaincial manager with insight and positive mindset

I am a financial manager and working in the mining industry for 18 years. I have a very good understanding of the industry with great experience in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, financial accounting and capital. I am a hard worker and give more than what is expected of me and I do not hesitate to put in the extra hours to meet deadlines and goals. When I step into a new position a relish the challenge and do whatever it takes to complete tasks successfully and with insight. I understand that the tasks that I do are to influence the business positively and to ensure correct decision making.
