Being a cashier .part time receptionist sales consultant and junior admin
I am very hard working person who is reliable and honest at all time. i have 5 years experience working as sales consultant and junior admin.I have ability to work under pressure with team and individual .good Communition skill. Before i becoming a sales consultant I starte d as cashier but because of hard working I get promoted .I have grade 12 ,cumpter literacy .business leadership certificate.

An individual seeking the opportunity to expand their horizons
My name is Ashraf Ismail, I am currently employed at one of the major retailers Makro for the past 13 years(July 2005) For the past 7 years I’ve been stationed in the Multimedia & Hi-tech department as a salesman & recently in the capacity of acting Manager in the absence of the Sales Manager, some of my tasks in the department are high standards of customer service, achieving sales targets an operational budgets, interaction with head office, buyers & suppliers, maintain high operational & housekeeping standards, awareness & curbing of Shrinkage, stock management & control of cyclical counts an overseeing department in Sales manager’s absence. I’m self-motivated, independent thinker and a fast learner. Some of my strengths are my people skills, product knowledge, confidence, Selling & negotiating skills In 2011 I started doing my BCom part-time & completed it in 2016 I'm extremely active an some of my activities include Park Runs, golf, tennis, gym & action cricket

Excellent learning opportunities
Makro is one of the best retail company in Southern Africa. It has taught me a lot in the last few years. It is company that perfects itself in the best customer service and opportunities to grow within the company, by providing necessary training through internships and other opportunities.

PAYROLL-Capturing of overtime ;commission& spivs, and absenteeism deduction; Administration of staff purchases, l ;Administration-capturing on Dynamique Payroll; recruitment and selection of non management stuff ;conduct verification checks :ITC ,Criminal &Qualification ; Employee Relation Administration. I have a good relationship with my co- workers, we respect each other.at first employees they never wanted to be assistant by me because m an intern but since they saw that m good at what I do they now even ask for advise fro m me. I enjoy being an hr officer because I deal with different employee everyday that tech me to be a very assertive person and know how to handle aggressive people.
Pros: the is great opporunity of promotion because the retail has so many branchs so is easy to move from being an intern and be a permanet employee to another store
Cons: working hours are good because we start working at 8:30 to 5:00

Excellent learning curve
I started here as a learnership student but because of my commitment and my attitude I ended up being employed permanently and I have learnt a lot in this department and because I was willing to learn became my Managers right hand man she taught me everything I had to learn now even if she's on leave she lives me with her duties I have a good relationship with my colleagues one thing I know if I leave this place the person who will work in my shoes will have big shoes to fit in, I'm always willing to assist them whenever they need help and I enjoy that a lot. The only challenging part for me is when we are short staff and I'll have to do 3 peoples jobs because they are off sick and whoever needs my services won't understand when i have to help the other one but I also don't complain I enjoy that too

Customer service ,admin duties, stock controlling cold calling and meeting monthly sales target
An independent individual can think out of the box very eager an determine, ambitious. Will go an extra mile for the customer and team player i hate it when customers are not been notice when in the store .I learnt different values of customer needs.I love interacting with different handling a very difficult customer.

Growth in the industry
working at Makro has taught me a lot. Great customer care, knowledge gained about retail and sales, how to handle customer emotions and to put yourself in the situation. Good communication skills.

Doing all receiving and dispacthing for 3 divisions. Food, Liquor and Gen Merch
Doing receiving for all 3 divisions. Food Liquor and Gen Merch. Starts at 7 and ends when the last pallets comes into the store. Never a dull day. always something happening and keeping u bisy. to make sure everything is received by the end of the day and that the stock is not damaged when coming into the store
