A typical work day: Early bird meeting, commitment to weeks target, cold calling,submission of cases, meeting with client's, looking with client's, retaining clients. Relationship with co-workers:Team players, we help each other, supportive I have learnt to cope in a demanding, target driven enviroment, perseverance, commiting to goals, creating and maintaining relationship with diffrent clients,analyse a persons financial needs. I enjoy helping people reach their financial goals or plan for their financial goals. I enjoy interacting with different people on a daily basis. The flexibility. The most challenging part of the job would be the payment structure. Target determines basic and commission.

SALES AGENT OR LEADS GANARATOR

I am working as leads generator hand on hand with financial advisor , so basically I am sales consultant. And I started at old mutual finance working as Direct Sales Consultant so basically I have a lot of experience in sales department and admin department.

Environment

Share scheme is great but open plan is not conducive. The company’ doesn’t seem to value stakeholder management as a function . More work is required in that regard. I have good colleagues at work which’ keeps me going

Good customer service skills, selling skills, and doing collections

I worked as a financial consultant for more than 3 to 4 years. Maintain a customer relationship. Communicating well with clients. Excellent convincing power coupled with ability to understand clients preferences and make buying suggestions accordingly. Adapt at handling pos. Cash and credit card payments and capable of printing detailed order bills effectively good at handling queries. Ability to do collections.

it was the retail market, selling insurance policies, funeral range products, savings plan, Salaried advisor, administration, capturing, marketing. Promotion

Call center

A call center is the worst place to work at specially old Mutual they don't pay well and don't give nice data to work with they drill you every single day for sales and talk time but don't give you the data to make the sales etc

Pros: Good benifits if you permanent
Cons: Poor salaries please you make sales to hardly speak English

Excellent learning curve

Company taught me many different skills and how one can handle customers and also creating good customer service. Old mutual is a company where one is exposed to many more opportunities within the company which allows an employee to broaden their goals.

How to behave as an indivial. How to manage finances. and your customers

Working for the company was a great experience. Employees are very friendly. The company has some great opportunities. I have learnt more about working as a team. We always make each and everyday as funny as ever. The management was always willing to assist in all different aspects. What I enjoyed most was the fact if you have done something good and great it will on the table for everyone to see your hard work. The most challenging part was you you did not make a sale on that and you have to report. other than that,all was well
