Pioneerfoods Reviews

Great knowledge builder, constant interesting environment.

Employees are friendly and become part of a close nitted family. Always ways to expand your knowledge should you be willing to learn. A typical day includes administration duties, micro biological testing, training creating of orders, communication with suppliers and many more. In my years I have learned that the sky is the limit if i choose to do so.

Pros: Personal growth opportunities
Cons: Room for position growth

Excellent Learning curve

Portfolio is to ensure the proper inventory level is kept and then allocated to loads and most important the queuing and execution of a load plan. Maintain relationships with all key stakeholders in this part of the chain, such as replenishment planners, demand planners as well as transport desk. Furthermore arrange the booking slots with customers or External bookmakers (Smollans etc.) Drawing deliveries on ATP sites and also manage any extra ordinary planning to tie into current production challenges or anomalies. All these matters are summarized with a formal load plan which then triggers Transport and Warehouse picking and finally loading.

Pros: Flexible hours
Cons: Always on standby

Learning

In pioneerfoods there is quite a lot of systems and processed in place that one can learn from, I have grown as a person and also understood the working environment , my department in is one of the most imported department that specializes in stock receiving and dispatching, it a 24 hour operational department where one needs to able to handle the pressure and also be able to work with deferent people , because at times things can get very busy and agent that on e will need your Co Workers to be more on hands and that I enjoy most having to dispatch about 15 trucks in 08 hours. I have learn that it is very imported for one to be a good team player so that the job can be done

Pros: Company has great oppotunity for growth and aslo velues
Cons: Company on that overtime that one can work on a Saturday and Sunday

Very good company to be part of. They have educated me and nurtured to what I am today.

I joined Pioneerfoods 2008 as a Regional HR Manager for Bakeries based in Cape Town. I was immediately taken for Senior Management Development program in Stellenbosch University. I have grown and when the business restructured I was sent to the Eastern Cape Oct 2013. Now looking after the Eastern Cape Bakeries and Mill business. This is approximately 810 permanent employees. I have grasped skills in workforce planning, talent management, training and development, employment equity, BBBEE score card, employee relations and recruitment. I will be adding value to your business from the word go.

Pros: You are given Space to learn. Measuring your outputs, and adding value to the bottom line.
Cons: Lack of succession planning
