Clients can be difficult for no reason. at. all.

The clients in Oudtshoorn can be real assholes. Colleagues can be lazy, will take credit for work individually while team work was done and higher ups does not listen to the people that really does the work. It's frustrating to say the least.

Pros: one hour lunch
Cons: remuneration does not add up to the work put in, raises and bonuses rarely happens

I've been in retail for 7years and I've been helping different people with different needs and characters. I love working with people.and its always good to be polite and trustworthy

Great learning experince

Great position to get to know different people

A typical day at work is a busy day, running from one side of the store to the other side. Myself and my co-workers can handle it extremely well and making sure that customers in line would be helped very soon. The understanding I have amongst my co-workers is extremely professional and also like my adopted family. I have learnt so much working at postnet and the main point is dealing with different people, I learnt a lot from them as well and found confidence in dealing with different people. What I find enjoyable and challenging at work is when I've been given a task from my boss personally.

Good for learning

Commission structure was okay, hours a bit long. Staff don't last, and teamwork was poor as a result. Customers relations were good. I Enjoyed my clientelle. I also enjoyed organizing the store, and keeping the flow going. A typical day would be approx ten hours mon to friday. Bickering umongst staff was unpleasant, as I found there to be a lack discipline and structure, as well as lack of understanding customer boundaries. Overall I enjoyed staying busy, and having plenty to do.

Cons: Long hours, lack of teamwork, culture was very low.

Excellent learning curve

It's a excellent learning curve to start when you are fresh from high school if you need to know about logistics,supply chain and courier industry and I feel that I have worked myself up from counter sales to managing the store on my own,I'm willing to learn about the industry it self,looking for something that is more challenging

Pros: You get to learn different aspects of the courier industry,get to meet different customers and their views about the industry,dealing with customers complaints on day to day basis
Cons: You can never satisfy everyone,everyone comes with their own views and opinion on different couriers that they have experienced

This ccompany have learned me alot and allowed me to grow alot in this industry.

All of the staff at Postnet is like a big family, we all get along extremely well. I have grown as a designer aswell as an individual. I enjoy working with people alot and they motivate me to allways try to do better.

Amazing working experience

I enjoy working with my colleagues, I wouldn't say they are colleagues but more like friends now even though there's a big age difference. I wouldn't say I've learnt a lot regarding work because I'm already computer literate, I have however learnt how to properly communicate with customers and help them as much as possible. The most challenging part I'd say it's customers who haven't had a great day because that way they barely listen instead they become angry at me. I just enjoy working there, as much as I know it's not really what I want it'll help me get there slowly but surely.

Pros: Meeting people in the same career field as me and getting more info from experience people.
Cons: Late payments
