Customer Services Representative
My daily tasks included cold calling, processing orders, ordering stock from other branches, and keeping in contact with my customers. I work alongside 3 fellow team mates and have an excellent relationship. What I have embraced about this opportunity is the fact that I get to work in a sales environment without any prior experience . It is however challenging but am willing to learn everyday. I love and enjoy dealing with customers on a daily basis telephonically or face to face. The most challenging part about my job is cold calling, most times I would have to chat to someone I have never even spoken to before but strive on nonetheless.

Good learning curve

Continous improvement and passionate about business
Daily interaction with all role players in the chain. To ensure business success. Planning of daily,weekly, monthly activities to ensure objectives are met (warehouse, stock, people, waste, Sheq etc.) Redesigningwarehouse layout to ensure effecient/optical stock picking and inventory level for inbound and iutbound. Managing staff in terms of IR and disciplinary policies. Procuring, sourcing the best vendors to ensure the warehouse is safe and maintained without compromising the safety of staff.

Excellent learning curve
Working with different customers, quoting and selling chemicals to these customers. Determine the price of productd. The relationship between me and coworkers is positive, we work well as a team. The highlight for me was learning problem solving skills

Good work environment and experience gained
Protea was a lovely company, I worked there for 16 years with broken service. We had an incident on site, management changed and there was a lot of uncertainty, I was not happy and resigned.

I started off in Admin and have grown over the years and have learnt allot from the company.
I started off in Admin and have grown over the years and have learnt allot from the company. People culture is a bit complex. It can be a bit overwhelming for new starters. I do no think that the salaries are market related. Good employees do not get recognition.
