Compliance culture at RAF
RAF used to be an employer of choice until recently when it's insolvency status became a serious job security risk. Relationship with co-workers is cordial with many but the environment can be corrosive at times. I have learnt and achieved a lot since I joined RAF in that I started a Compliance Function from ground zero and it is at a matured stage. What I enjoy the most is that there is no dull moment in the compliance space, especially at RAF given the latest legislative developments. Nothing is challenging save to say that there are several areas of developments for the compliance function too be optimised and for the culture of compliance to be truly ingrained in the culture of RAF.

Excellent
I am an admitted attorney. I will be enrolling for corporate law masters program at university of Johannesburg in the 2018 academic year. I am currently employed at maponya inc in the Mafikeng office as a senior legal cost attorney. I manage the whole department both party and party and drawing attorney and client bills with the help of my secretary. the department was non existing prior to my coming here. I work with four litigation attorneys whom I bill their work once the matter is settled and I am the only one dealing with costs. the responsibilities are massive as I only have the help of the secretary I am willing to relocate and learn where possible with workshops and putting more effort and time in my work to produce desired results. I have previously been employed by the road accident fund for a period of three years prior to my admission. Well spoken and ability work under pressure
I have gain more experience working on SAP. Proactively working as a member of a team. Also writing and submitting report. Attending calls that are logged by our client and making sure that we don't go back for the very same call again.

Effective and Efficient
To be OD Specialist, I m a team player n individual decision maker, I take criticism positively, I have learned to consider co-workers ideas, I enjoy interaction with different divisions within the co, the most challenging about the job is having to get buy in from any change management initiated but with strong character I m it always comes easy at the end, but also considering employees concerns and suggestions but also considering rules and procedures of the ACT and internal processes. Being an OD and HR person I must also consider human resources and human aspects as a whole how all aligns to company strategic objective.my daily work should mean I achieve all TO DO list accordingly, my relationship with co workers must be determined by good work relationships and working towards achieving one common goal. OD is one of unique and special aspects of the business.

Experience at RAF
Excellent learning curve. Intensified my negotiations skills. The most challenging thing is the file count. However the work is very fulfilling as e touch people's lives and try our best to compensate in a just manner. The negative thing is there are slim chances of promotions. I gained confidence in my skills as I can apply my discretion in settling claims and manage my own office.

My career
my normal day at work is interesting with the cases that are being reported everyday and dealing with external stakeholders makes it even more interesting. my co-workers are experienced and it makes my job easy because work flow easily. I have learned that corruption destroys lives and people wont stop until they are in the deep and they don't think of the consequences. I have leaned to compile a report and quality assure it before it goes to the Senior manager for approval I enjoy working in a team and learning new things everyday. The most challenging task its when its the end of a quarter because deadlines must be met and the work I submit must be of quality.

I have experience of administration assistant
To work at road accident fund is good and benefit because I start to work without any experience but now I have experience. I can work under pleasure and I can work without manager. I have been learn many things like typing skills, excel ,outlook and how to type fast.my relationship with co-work is good. I enjoy to work as team and as an individual and I enjoy my work as administration assistant. the challenge to me is to work with people who don't want work, lazy people.

It is a good company to work for and especially in a case of developing employees
It is very exciting to work in my company and lot of challenges that makes mind functioning all the time especially my investigation work. Working with stake holders is so interesting as it is the good time to learn new things everyday. I work with different nations and races so it helps to be more conversant with cultural diversity. I learnt lot of things being the supervisor especially about different types of people's behaviours. I mostly enjoy field work and travelling. The most challenging aspect is to work with skeletal information from the hotlines.
Pros: Promotional opportunities are not so great as the structure is very narrow
Cons: Working hours are reasonable and flexi time is acceptable
