I have been challenged mentally and psychologically. I have managed .
I have been challenged mentally and psychologically, managing four HR departments for the past three years, where managers resigne. I have been responsible for change management and restructuring, which I did judiciously and with enthusiasmR departments in the past three years, where managers resigned. Great experience, but very stressful due to lack of funding to the Organization by Government
dynamic work place and anything can happen on the day workplace very unpredictable good stakeholder relations, People know the name Charles Petersen, due to my previous union activities not everyone likes Charles but that is the nature of the job learned to manage people can be challenging enjoy working with people and the diverse group of people i work with very unpredictable

Long hours hard work
Constant interaction with trade unions, attending matters at the CCMA or regular basis. I have a professional relationship with co-worker which took year to build. I have learned that hard work pays off. I have also learned that working for a parastatal is extremely challenging especially when political influence is at play when hard business decisions has to be taken.
Pros: You are exposed to many facets of business. The Post Office has a retail, transport, operational side, HR, you therefore get to learn it all.
Cons: political influence in business decisons.

Excellent learning curve abd vast experience with different types of personalities

GOOD LEARNING
I acted for senior postions and also I got an opportunity to study further courses like Operatioms Management, Office Administration and IT(I didnt finish). I learned how to work with people and client telephonically and staff while I was acting as a site manager(supervisor).
