Typical work say consists of attending to your emails from brokers as well as clients enquiring about their recovery status of their claims .you also attend to your portfolio of claims and also attend to attorney general queries that you receive from time to time

Great opportunity

Excellent learning curve

I am in a very different industry for the first time ever since I started working as a Credit Controller and feeling so relaxed and cared for by my colleagues. I have learnt that a high salary is not important but the peaceful work environment. I enjoy the laughter in the office. The most challenging aspect is only on month ends when I have to leave huge unmatched claims due to incorrect claim numbers and or having a claims that have been raised incorrectly.

Pros: Good opportunity for me to learn how insurance companies work.

Working hand in hand with the vendor to develop Agent Assist, got an award, being able to multi-task

It is with great pleasure to have worked with the company that I am at now and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a great company. The experience I have gained from this company and the various positions I have been exposed to have made me realize that choosing a career in IT was never a mistake

Growth, great learning curve and lots of Client service.

My review is that, when you work for big companies like Santam, you learn how to be a team player and how to handle books of Debtors and Creditors. You learn everyday how to manage clients'and suppliers' bookkeeping and reconciliation.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth and you never stop learning.
Cons: Targets cause pressure and stress.

Modify, update, and process existing policies and claims to reflect any change in beneficiary, amount of coverage, or type of insurance. Review and verify data, such as age, name, address, and principal sum and value of property on insurance applications and policies. Examine letters from policyholders or agents, original insurance applications, and other company documents to determine if changes are needed and effects of changes. Notify insurance agent and accounting department of policy cancellation.
