My current work status

I currently work in a client service environment in SASSA Mamelodi branch. I have been employed here since 01/08/2004. I started as a clerk and promoted to a Supervisor in March 2008. I have dealt with my customers professionally (internal and external customers). I have served my current employer diligently with respect. Proof to this is the fact that there is no disciplinary issue next to my name or my work profile all these years. Presently I work as a grant administration supervisor where I deal with issues of staff performance management, stakeholder relations, project management. I also recently passed a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law at the University of Johannesburg. I hope this information and my attached CV shows that I am a dedicated worker who could add value to your organization.

My 10 Years working experience at SASSA as HR Personnel

Good Morning, My day to day work more of a challenge doing the first day of working for SASSA. I was responsible for Service Benefits and Conditions including end to end recruitment process. In the process reporting to the HR Manager will leave me to run this function on my own and make mistakes and resolve them all by myself. The helped me in becoming more independent and gaining strong leadership skills to my subordinates. The most challenging part of my job is to run with recruitment process that have Senior Management's interest and they are all over you in terms of running the show.

Ive learn a lot

Our target at sassa was to capture 350 files a day and I was the only person who was doing the bookings.I'm also good in retrieving a file I was at work everyday and iwas working a flex time because my supervisor was very impressed about my work she was worried by the time the contract ended BT she can't do anything

Busy institution, working hard daily to ensure with achieve goals and promote our standards

Good working conditions, good interactions with staff and management but not at all levels of the organisation, there is somewhat unprofessional conduct at times. I learnt that in organisations you need professionalism and recognition of hard workers. I enjoyed most dealing with staff performance, couching and mentoring. Challenging aspects at times is to change attitude and how to ignites all employees to always have passion to perform excellently.

Pros: There is scope nationally for growth for hard workers

A typical working day at SASSA

A typical working day and what I've learnt includes : Compiles and maintains records and accounts of Oracle transactions, office activities as well as undertake administration duties. Receive all procurements/requisitions, confirm budget allocation, open files, check if procurements are compliant, record and sign over to the next department. Capture procurements/requisitions and communicate with all relevant SASSA cost centres. Record all incoming documents for Senior Manager as well as filling. Secretary of a Loss Control committee and perform all secretarial duties. Communicating with clients and requesting invoices for Financial Accounting I get along well with co-workers the most challenging aspects of my job is doing to much but no opportunity offered for permanent employment.

Expansion of skills in client services and liaison.

The position I was offered at SASSA provided me with the opportunity to expand my skills in the work environment and to also gain an understanding of my personality and frame of reference withing the work organization My client services and liaison skills were enhances as well as the general administrative part of my daily work. I had good interactions with colleagues and enjoyed serving the larger community with services. I managed to fulfill all my obligations with pride and commitment

I WAS AMONG THE 450 PEOPLE EMPLOYED BY SASSA AS A EPWP AND WE ARE ONLY GETTING STIPEND AS A SALARY AND HE WORK LOAD IS AS EQUAL AS NORMAL GRAN ADMINISTRATORS AND I WORK AS GARNT ADMIN, DRIVER, ADMIN SUPPOR OFFICER CUSTOMER CARE OFFICER

Pros: IF I CAN BE HIRED PERMANENTLY I WILL BE ANADVANTAGE BECOUSE ITS GOVERNMNT AND AND ITS GOT ALL THE NECCESSARY BENEFITS ESPECIALLY AT MY AGE I REALLY NEED WHERE I CAN RELY ON AS ASOURCE OF INCOME

Cover Letter

I am currently working as a Specialist: Internal Audit with SASSA where I do full Audit tasks to company policies and accounting standards and I have over 10 years work experience as an Auditor inclusive of completed articles with a large Auditing Company (Auditor General of South Africa) where I was given a sole responsibility for the auditing functions to Audit Financial Statements up to the audit report as well as performing other financial tasks. When I started with this company it had been operating a short time. I grew up substantially over the past 6 years. My role gradually expanded to include supervision position up to 6 audit staff members and the audit project itself. I use both Excel and Word for windows and Team Mate audit application in this position.
