Interactive learning curve
At South African airways, I have learned to work under pressure with or without supervision. Learn to differentiate your customers but still working within the company policy. With the experience I have gained it will go a long way in my life e.g being able to transform yourself after you had unpleasant customer swearing and calling all the worst names but still be able to assist the customer with great smile and satisfaction
Pros: We have a great number of employees as for promotion is very slim but possible, diverse cultures and beliefs yet customer experience and offering must be consistent

Growing as an individual
i had a very good relationship with my co workers and my managers. we worked as a team and if we completed our work before schedule , we world assist the other teams. Growing our people in the company was key - we would always be teaching new members the skills we have acquired over the years . I love the aviation industry and planes are my passion, l enjoy the feeling of having a plane i worked on come back with no issues. Challenges will be short staff at the company , trying to get the job completed by deadline without the man power.

My job was lifestyle
A paid holiday. I acted as a senior cabin crew member for 2yrs but was never employed in the position for saving cost for the company reason. I was based in cape town so no international flights departed from here only jhb. But the reason for this is because it was political. I think.

My current proud moment
In my current position at an acting supervisor at the SAA Business Class International Lounge at the Johannesburg Airport, my day to day activities include, reading emails and giving feedback to the relevant parties, if there was a meeting attended, I need to write the minutes for that meeting and forward to supervisors and managers. I have to attend to passenger queries or complaints, make sure chefs and cleaners are doing their jobs. Do stock taking, and order stock to be used for the week. My job requires someone that can think on their feet, has quick decision making skills and good people skills, friendly attitude and very patient person, as the Johannesburg Airport is a fast paced environment.
Pros: I have had opportunity to travel and have learned confidence in my decision making and have learned to think on my feet.

Great Learning Curve
am quite reliable and regular at work with a great attendance track record. I have been time and again appreciated by the clients and managers alike for my excellent time management abilities. I understand the significance of time and respect others' time. I have learnt professionalism, and i believe my communication skills have improved too. I work at large company which has enabled me to learn different character and it has also allowed me to be a flexible person. I enjoy being part of this team and adding value to the company. A challenge can be a language barrier but since our company is diverse, one can always get help from a collegue

Legacy systems and processes
It is a technology and data driven environment, however, the company is behind competition in terms of structuring and harvesting data. The IT/Data environment is too cluttered and complex, something of the 90s. It is very difficult and frustrating to collate data from the various functional areas. There is lack of willingness to migrate from legacy BI systems and data warehousing environment. The IT environment lacks the skills to meet the agile nature of modern data, analytics and reporting environments. It however a great industry to be in for analysts in general due to its over reliance on data and technology.
Pros: Great environment to learn and sustain one's career.
Cons: unstructured data environment and lack of willingness to transform and align with modern data and BI environments.

God skilled
