A typical day at Work
A typical day at Spur A typical morning shift starts at 06h30, I unlock the door,disarm the alarm and then I do a quick walkthrought checkin the cleanliness of the Front of house. I then proceed to the back of house check on cleanliness and identify area that need to be cleaned. I At 06h50 I switch on all equipment needed to start trade. I then forecast the required stock to run the days business smoothly and issue the stock accordingly. I check on all stock for quality and freshness. At 07h45 I hold a quick staff meeting 'at this time I discuss issues such as complaint, puncatuality, personal Hygiene, give motivation and inform of any specials or bookings.
Pros: I got to learn the importance of good customer service toward promoting brand loyalty and maximizing profits
Cons: work load and remuneration dont justify each other.

Excellent learning different people's personalities
I enjoy my job working with different people who we have became more like a family due to spending most of our time together, I enjoy grooming my junior co workers hoping one day they will reach where I am and even go fair. It a family restaurant and that make me meet different families some of them very sweet some a bit difficult which gives me a chance to learn more about them.

Chief director
Basic needs of the company, experienced on customer service and speed of service. Building a positive relationship with the customer while on duty. The best moments I have ever enjoyed at Spur. When regular customers give me a great wonderful compliments. Head office compliments. Challeges that I have met during my shift, when customers giving you a hard time such as changing their orders unexpected. shouting you infront of other customers. What I have learnt is that the customer is always right. Never argue with the customer. And working as a team. Always wear your smile that shows a good sense of humor. It has always been fun working with my co-workers, everyone would mantion his or hers experienced per day and we would laugh about it. It was my biggest moments when I got promoted as a chief director, Head waiter.

Brilliant experience
working at spur its an amazing experince,meeting new people everyday and new faces its amazing.its a good thing when your first arrive in your new job and your colleques are down to earth treating you with respect thats what i do daily.me ang my collegues are getting allong so well we enjoy each others company.working at spur its been the most wonderful experiance ever.now im looking for better future.ive learnt a lot like how to keep customers happy for them to come back to the bessiness also learnt to be friendly at all the times even if you get the most rudest customer ever you must always be humble apologise at all the time, at the end of the day the customer leaves happy.working with customers is the most challanging experiance in the world because you meet different people everyday.but its amazing at the same time.

Good learning curve to experience what it means to be a manager
A typical work day will include opening or closing shop. Handling customer and staff problems. Relationships with waiters can sometime be difficult as it is a high pace and stress industry. I learned how to communicate better and listen before I speak. I enjoyed the admin side of work as well as being the IT guy. The most difficult part of the job for me would be balancing home and work life as we work very long hours.

The different people i get to meet everyday
Not much room for growth within the company. In such conglomerates managed by owners, prosperity instrife for success is a mute point. Its also something i wanted to do as an opportunity for a break between mu last real retail management job,but growth is zero to none chances
