Not so challenging at the moment

The job I currently do is static and there is very little room for growth. The culture within my current department is designed to benefit a select few

Excellent learning

to work in the company is to gain experience. get along with people from different cultures. working long hours. cleaning the room close to 16 room pay day, is a tough 1 but we push our self to finish it. we learn that there is challenging job out there but all you have to do is to push your self to finish the job before you go home. the relationship with our co-workers is good one because if you don't do the job proper the will teach you how to do the job. sometimes when we go for lunch we go together and they gave us free food. but it depends on the company as we were working at the hotel. it was enjoyable day. I learn that sometimes job can be hard sometimes can be easy. all you have to do is to work and at the end of the day you will finish it. month end you get paid. Thank you

Great interaction skills

Meet customer needs, solving client queries . Open accounts for customers. Making sure that data is captured correctly. Assist customers when they need any lending facility or any banking product.

Project Administration - FIT Security

Vibrant project administrator with 4 years working experience in various industries including but not limited to financial services, insurance, healthcare and banking. Currently contracted to Standard Bank as an administrator in IT Security involving cyber security, cloud computing and cryptographic initiatives. Rehearsed with Prince2 delivery methodologies and exposed to PMBOK. The bank has been delivering projects in an agile manner in the last 6 months broadening exposure to various delivery methods.

Gained a lot of knowledge in the work environment

To work at the company is fun, you walk in the morning greet your colleagues and go straight to the kitchen make tea, refresh on the work you were busy with the day before, make sure all clients are called and queries resolved so you can start today's queries, if you battle with a customer or queries you welcomed to ask your colleagues for help at any time, and I've learnt that team work can get a lot of work done if we work together and cooperate.

Pros: A lot of opportunities, you can grow as a person
Cons: Distance from the workplace to my home

I work in finance division, I am office based and enjoy it. I am an assistant relationship manager. Do all sorts of credit applications and general maintenance of portfolio in terms of sales, compliance, and smooth running of business. I enjoy working in teams. As we all know that corporate environment has challenges by all the times but I am used to that as I can handle pressure and come up with solutions. I can work independently, make decisions more especially with regards to credit facilities for the clients and conclude the deal/sale I enjoy going out more especially with colleagues as we connect or team build I prefer more reading & listening that watching hence I read more about financial sector however political news are also my interest. I also do socialize a lot to know what's happening around the world.

Pros: Friendly working environments, Team support & building, Godood enough Career developments and trainings
Cons: 8:00-16:30 It takes a phenomenal amount of self-discipline to start work when you know you don't have to be at the office by 8 a.m.

Listening to what the customer is enquiring about. Acknowledging the client Advice what you can do Give a turn Around time. Making sure that the customer gets what they enquiring about.

Good service experience

I really enjoy working at standard bank. You meet different people on a daily basis and you get to interact with them and also assist them with their finances as some people need guidance, it's amazing the level of work we have to put out on a daily basis. The environment is great and the people are always looking forward to a great customer experience, and the my fellow employees are very helpful and friendly. Being part of a big company like standard bank is amazing. I have learned to be humble and to appreciate every day of my life.

A great start to learn how to engage with customers.

Long queues during pay days, gives us the opportunity to cross-sell our products. On a normal day, i get to attend customer queries and help illiterate customers at the ATMs. We are a small branch and its easy to get along with with everyone. I have learnt that, hard work goes a long way and shortcuts will only take you a step or two back. I have learnt to step out of my comfort zone at work , roll up my sleeves and get the job done by any means necessary; not to fall back because you cannot handle a task on hand but to ask my colleagues when i require help. I enjoy it when my leads get converted to sales and making customers happy for solving their problems. The biggest challenge of my job is selling products. I didn't get trained on how to approach a sales conversation, to be convincing and also to handle disappointments that put you down when a customer tells you "No".

Excellent learning curve

Great company, teaches one to up-skill by learning to depend on yourself than your team leaders or managers. Had boosted my confidence with working with customers, pretty much gives you room to grow and find yourself in what you want to achieve. Making job placements limitless, you can find what you want and do it!!
