I am a fast learner and a hard worker

I have been working at Standard bank since 2002 . I have mainly been exposed to the fraud areas. I have been part of arranging several events for the teams , processing reward vouchers for team members who have excelled in their jobs.

Excellent learning curve

I have Good customer experience. I have call centre, admin,Supervisory and sales. I been a external sales consultant internal and external to our stakeholders.

Pros: Travelled I can work from home which means self discipline and accountable
Cons: Deliver on time. Communicate with clients all the time. Deliver as per our service level agreement

Fairly good

Working in the bank is challenging but fun , you learn a lot of new things on a daily basic , helping customers has always been my passion and going the mile to give them the best that I can , from thinking I was not a people's person and working in the banuking industry has changed my perspective of who I am and how I am, it's been a good journey and it has its pros and cons to each day , not everyday is a good day as some customers can be difficult at times but it's something that I deal with always and give them the benefit of the everything as they say customers are always right.

Learning curve and i gain a lot there

STANDARD BANK was a great company to work at, i learned a lot of customer service skills as that was the main part of my job. I worked well with my co-workers, we worked hand in hand to make sure that we did our job well and i helped my co-workers where they could not or need help. I found it as a challenge to work on Sundays, as I could not go to church.

Introduction of a new way of delivering projects

There have been several changes since I joined the company. We are moving from a highly governed project environment to a more Agile way of working. This brings about both pros & cons to change and the need for both business and IT to work closer together. I enjoy the shift away from unnecessary governance processes and the introduction of lean process improvements. The most challenging aspects being the mindset changes that are required of people who have always done things in a certain way.

Great working experience

At present I am employed at Standard Bank as an Anti Money Laundering Surveillance Unit Analyst (MLSU). I was previously employed at FNB as a Team Leader for Premium Business Banking (on a short-term contract) concentrating on Business Accounts, KYC, data capturing and administration. Furthermore, I was at the Nedbank Corporate Contact Centre as a Client Service Specialist.My experience as a MLSU analyst, Premium Business Banker, Brand Ambassador, Marketer, Promoter, Call Centre Sales Agent and Telemarketer, Retention Branch welcome calls agent and Corporate Client Service specialist has allowed me to gain great appreciation and understanding of business workings, adherence to set standards and understanding of business and client needs in the Marketing and Financial services Sector and in the working industry as a whole.

Competitive tough and exciting

Working g withing standard bank is tough and competitive but it has granted me the opportunity to grow myself in ways I couldn't imagine. It has been splendid and I would not trade the experience for anything in the world. Work started at 8 till 4:30, from 8 we I tract with customers regarding their credit cards. Most enjoyable things to do at work was make sales and resolve customer problems.

Excellent learning curve

I am a hardworking person,I am punctual,I have good driving skills ,I have a good eyesight,I am focused,I work well with people, I am a team player,I have worked as a Teller for five years,,I have good communication skills,Numerical skills ,I pay attention to details.I like working with figures,I like challenges.I like working with different people and meeting new people, I am a people’s person .I like to work in a cool environment.

Working experience with the banking industry.

Work experience within the banking industry. The most challenging aspects of the job is definitely the high volumes of work as I personally deal with +- 40 vendors and all standard bank branches across 9 provinces of South Africa. I work well with my co-workers, there's a level of respect across the board and communication is very key, so we do very well under those key components. What I enjoy about the job, is the fact that I got a chance to communicate with a very large audience, be it telephonically or electronically but it has improved my communication skills a great deal. Having to solve queries daily from different candidates, has also sharpen up my style of resolving issues. I have learnt to be respectful, patient, cooperative, innovative and most importantly to deliver as expected on any project or my job as per my contract with the company.

Cons: As the job is volume driven, i turn to work long hours
