A Great stepping stone
The current position I fill is that of an administrative rokerole within the Engery and Engineering department in Standard bank.I assist a team of 13 by setting up meetings ,taking mintues, arranging parking and access control. My duties are but not limited to Liasing with procurement and finance, diary management of Senior manager assisting with monthly reports . I work with very diverse and strong charatered individuals.They are very helpful pleasant to be around. My job has exposed me to so many aspects especially in how to deal with different personalities.I enjoy organising events.

Willing to learn and quick to grasp
I am willing to explore any sort of industry, I love learning and constantly need a challenge. I take pride in my work and love working with people. I am more self managed and will push my self to the limit to see through a task is done in a clean and correct manner. I always request for a new challenge or different job description. I am kind and willing to help others so we together achieve a goal. I question a lot in sense of understanding better and allowing me to have accuracy in what I do. In my job I learned how important work family is we build each other. I was fortunate to be more on the technical support as I understand computers more than anything. Challenging factors I faced are with regard to limited information given on a specific product/s which you are supposed to sell or support but you hardly understand as no one can explain therefore requires you to research.

Excellent learning curve
Working for Standard Bank was a very beautiful experience. I got to work with customers and learned how to be patient and understanding. I got to experience the different types of people and I enjoyed that very much. I had lovely co-workers who were always ready to assist me in things that I wanted to learn in the work environment in order to assist clients in the other department. What was challenging was having to deal with very difficult clients who wanted things done their way instead of following our procedures. Above everything else, I have enjoyed my time with Standard Bank. It really helped me grow

The time I worked at the bank I learnt a lot
On a day to day the work load was alot as we were always short staff. Trying to reach your daily target was sometimes very difficult as you could never only focus on one job. I had a good relationship with the people I worked with. Good understanding and communication. I learnt how to manage a team and take control of a situation. The most challenging aspect of the job was when the systems would not work properly and you still have to reach your target for the day.
Pros: Exposure in the company
Cons: Short staff.

Excellent learning curve
There wasn't enough room to grow in the Call Center as no promotion was available. Permanent posts are minimal. It is a great learning curve in terms of learning about customer satisfaction and experience on a daily basis.

Excellent benefits
I was fortunate to spend 26years at Absa (November 1987-August 2013), 13 which was dedicated to the office of the Deputy Chief Executive. In this position I gained a wealth of experience. I moved to Standard Bank in July 2015, and held an Executive PA position, after which I took on the a Business Manager role. I enjoy being challenged and I am looking forward to a new and exciting role.
