Unfamiliar but humbling experience

My day is about being responsible on the road ,obeying the rules, and ensuring my customer's are satisfied. We collect parcels early in the morning and start to deliver from 8:00, while we delivering we recieve food orders that need urgent attention and fast delivery. When in distress our team members intervene to make sure our clients still recieve great service and the relationships we create with security, restaurant staff and our clients that makes our job easy . I have learned to maintain a calm and respectful manner of dealing with our hysterical and sometimes rude clients. I enjoy seeing their welcoming and happy smiles when they're happy to see us. The most challenging part is not getting orders not meeting my personally set target and not having control of that.

Excellent culture

Very high paced working culture. Typical day is from 08h30 to 17h00 Got to learn a tremendous deal about working with suppliers and managing stock.. Good opportunity as an entry level comoany given the excellent learning curve and ability to quickly fast track your progress and get promoted.

I have learnt a lot with regards to catalogue as well as supply chain related issues

It was more of a typical work day and there was not much of a challenge for me after these 3 years at Takealot. I had an amazing relationship with co workers as we worked as a unit and a team of 4 people. What i enjoyed the most was the problem solving instances as i get to challenge myself and do the necessary investigations.

Driver

Driver - I was able to learn more patience skills, regarding deliverying. Some GPS coordinations were incorrect. So I had to use my wits and skills to get the right path and deliver to the right household.

Pros: Great hours and flexible
Cons: Days during the month and, when people ain't buying or ordering

Good learning curve

You have to meet a target of 80 listings captured per day. The relationship between myself & co-workers are good. I learnt alot, im buys training to be a team leader. The deadlines working under pressure is the best for me. Getting information from the suppliers.

Pros: A great start for people that has just completed school
Cons: Management needs to work on the managerial skills

Great learning Curve.

Takealot was a great space to give me experience in the working world as the shift started at 6am till 6pm or 6pm until 6am. It was a great learning curve in the warehouse industry as it gave me insight on packing and picking and how things are run within the warehouse. The work was pretty basic but yet demanding and straining because of things that were done within the workplace

Excellent learning curve

i have gained experiance and learnt more about customer and product service,i enjoyed becouse i was adapting to be with public and dealing with different people everyday and i was coping with the market enviroment within the company ,to work there has made good benefits to expand my skills
