The hub is a retail shop that is growing n now is well known, n its NYC working for this company cause they ar opportunities inside that will grow u, n they ar challenges that need attention but so far so good. Most of our customers stay faithful because of the service they get one they get to our store...

Gaining more experience
My main areas of responsibility was to assisting customers with all their requirements. Rotate the stock weekly and ensure first-in - first out principal applied. Increase sales in the store though add on sales. My particular emphasis and area of impact has been,stock control,cash handling, security,merchandising and housekeeping, customer service, sales, and point off sale operation. I was always demonstrate total commitment in my work. I was applying my self to diligently and always shown an extremely high level of integrity.

Challenges I face every time concerning customers, I learn to understand different people
working with people is something that build a person in every way, you get to meet different people every day, people who are happy, angry, stressed etc, and you get to adjust to their mood and help them. it's a beautiful thing cause some even leaves the shop with a smile.
Pros: promos are important in every business, they help in terms of recognition

It a starting point for me I need more challenging job
It's a learning curve for me,co-workers ar an excellent people,just tht retail doesn't give u enough time to spend with ur family that wat I don't like about were I'm working @ the moment.

The Hub has excellent clothing.
When I started to work at the Hub.. I had to work hard to prove myself. The store were struggling to make budgets. I was using my own iniative to generate sales. I held fashion shows with themes to make it different than any other shows. I have also passed NQF 5 where I have learned.. To be a good leader.. And to be an excellent manager.
Pros: Good opportunities until store manager level.
Cons: Difficult to be recognized for higher positions.

Excellent learning curve
Opportunities are available at least every six months in different arrears of the retail sector there's room for growth in most parts of the company from the stores to the head offices and so on

It is a good job for equipping oneself with some experience
Working at the hub helps me a lot because it keeps me from many bad behaviors such as going to night clubs on weekend which most students usually do with that spare time. this is mostly because i would come back from work tired and because clubbing is not really my thing. The hub co-workers are like a family to me now because of the way we treat each other, from the very first day they made me feel at home when they recruited me to join the team. Ever since i started working at the hub i have learnt a lot of things, but most importantly, i learnt how to treat customers with dignity that they deserve and i also learnt several communication skills. i enjoy helping the customers choose their desired items in the store. there absolutely nothing that i can point out as being challenging with working there, everything is normal. However, that may be because i come from nothing so i appreciate everything.

Learnt how to deal with customers and problem solving also learnt how to work under pressure
Staff meeting and daily budgets discussion, floor planing, replenishment planing and checking admin. Also making sure there's enough people for customer service on the sales floor.
Pros: Working towards being a store manger and even moving towards being a regional manager
Cons: Not getting enough days off and even compromise my overtime

I have such a wonderful boss
The team I'm elworking with is nice, we respect each other , we also respect each others decisions The challenging aspects is that sometimes we have different brilliant ideas and facing a challenge on which one to pick
