My experience and knowldge gained during my 4 years service at Truworths.
It is a wonderful experience to work at Truworths , the most important skill one can aqquire by working in a retail enviroment is the skill of customer service, you learn how to interact well with people which also requires patience and endurance since you work with people from different backrounds , i have learned a lot including filling , working with cash and being cautious when working with cash as well as handling day to day queries and complaints by customers . The most challenging aspects is when given a certain target or turnover to reach, whether it could be daily , weekly or monthly , as employees we are supposed to work at our best and make sure we reach the given target of sales , its positively motivating though to have reached the given target and that's what makes it more excting and one can feel more of an asset than a liability to the irganisation.
Pros: performing at your best even underpressure

I have good communication skills,motivated& always go my exstra mile.
Me and my co workers had a good understanding always listen to each othr advice. Learned alot at my company how to deal with difficult customers, how to run the store n staff whn manager off duty,how to run turnover, targets,new accounts,how to handle ur staff.what i njoyd most is working with people and to see that thy happy with the good service thy have been helpd with.the most challenging aspects was whn i had to run the store for the first tym but as the days went on i got to it.

Cons: long hours wont be a problem

Keen to learn,motivated,committed and good communication skills.
Me and my co workers had a good work relationship. Learned alot at my company how to work with customers and difficult once,how to handle my staff, turnover, targets, new accounts and how to keep ur team motivated. What i njoy most is to see a customer leave our store happy. The most challenging aspects was when i had to run the store for the first tym but as days went on i got to it.

Excellent learning curve
Do housekeeping before the shop opens. Help customers with purchasing and returning items. Take account payments. Promote new accounts. I have a good working relationship with all my co-workers I have learned how to interact with customers in a more professional level. I got the opportunity to practice some of the things that I learn in class like telephone etiquette, assertiveness and how to handle large amounts of money. I mostly enjoy meeting different types of people and characters, and mostly their stories and complements when satisfied with the purchase. Dealing with money

Cons: Short working hours for students so less money cause you get paid by hourly rate

Perfect learning curve to my career
You do housekeeping before the store opens Assist customers with purchases and returns Take account payment Resolve quires regarding accounts and items purchased. I have a good working relationship with all my co-workers How to be calm in difficult situations, how to handle large amount of money, and how to deal with different characters in the business world. I enjoy meeting different people everyday from all over who have different stories to tell, and the happy smiles on their faces when they got the perfect fitting dress or suit. The most challenge aspect was dealing with money whilst managing the ques.

I have learned a lot especially learning with people and being able to resolve their issues
The first thing I always do is to wakeup with enthusiasm and encourage myself to make a difference to my colleagues and being a good mediator for the company and the customers, i have learnt that learning is an everyday thing , I enjoy making a difference in persons lives and the most challenging thing about being a debt collector you get difficult customers and you must learn to control your emotions and don't take rudeness of customers too personal
Pros: the only opportunities is to become a supervisor
Cons: long working hours with no tea time
