Growth in confidence in my work
I work independently. Typical day would be scanning the regulatory universe for new and amended legislation which impact on the organisation. Compiling risk management plans. Drafting and vetting contracts. I enjoy learning about the different departments, one week I will be deep in SCM issues and the next week in operational. It keeps the work interesting. The most challenging aspect of the job is not having a support structure. etting contracts. Responsibilities & duties
Perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled tasks pertaining to the installation, maintenance, repairs And service of the electrical and mechanical equipment, used within the water systems and recycling plant And pumps station; and provide technical staff support to plant operations.

This culture is so positive, caring, and so many people have gone out of their way to help me. The company truly cares about your career and where you want to go. The managers have so many conversations with you about what motivates you to help you achieve your goals.. As soon as COVID-19 was getting serious, our company was one of the first companies to implement a mandatory work-from-home policy. Our healthy and safety came first, and I felt so lucky our company had the opportunity to make that decision. I feel valued, heard, and my work means something when I am at Indeed. . Great healthcare plan... and our holiday parties are OUTSTANDING. Every year the company gives everyone a really nice gift for the holidays. I really could go on for a long time. Definitely, definitely apply.

Good Learning Curve.
Working at Umgeni Water has been a good learning curve. it taught me a lot technically and also from a project management point of view. What i enjoy the most is managing projects without supervision which helped me learn a lot and required the best of me. The most challenging has been to deal with contractors on a frequent basis. also trying to do the best engineering designs but also having to consider the maintainability of the system being designed. A typical work day will include a lot of tender documentation and compilation, mostly BOQ's, Going to site to check construction progress, Attending maintenance and design meetings. Designing new systems etc.
Pros: great learning experience and great staff and teams to work with.

Highly empowered staff
Lease with both internal and external customer to ensure that service and quality requirements are met. Policy development and deployment including procedures. Worked very closely with co-workers, very interactive.

The company has good awareness programmes such as wellness day and aids day. It also has meetings with all employees to inform the employees on what is happening in the company in terms of growth.

Great Communicator
I am highly motivated, enthusiastic young man, trustworthy and a hardworking person since I am dealing with routine work (analyzing samples). I believe that two is better than one thus I am able to work with a group and independently. I am able to work under pressure because that makes me to be motivated, meeting new challenges is what I live for and I strive to deliver my best performance to all new challenges and produce good results at the end.

It has been great working with employees
5 days per week it is the good relationship I leant a lot from umgeni water such as communicating with other people, having a good relationship with other people, time management I learnt to able to work with other people in order to meet the objectives is the development I got from the company is to work under preassure in order to meet the deadline.
Pros: employees are very supporting , they embrace the culture.
Cons: The is no enough development due to focus on the same duties.
