Great opportunities for growth

I have been working for this company for 4 years now and it’s a great company to work for and I have a good relationship with my colleagues from my Department but with other departments it’s always war, there’s no unity among functions, you always work to protect yourself and the production meetings are hell but other than that I have learn a lot and I’m grateful for the opportunity that they gave me and the experience that I have it’s priceless. Getting promotion is nearly impossible they always prefer outsiders

Pros: Lot of oppurtunities for individual growth
Cons: Your performance is rated by managers who others don’t even know what you do

Flawless execution

My entails spending most of my time in trade coaching and training new Reps and Merchandisers. I'm involved in the distribution of our brands and execution in terms of visibility and POS utilization. I have learnt a lot on sales like that a sales process is a sale when money is in the bank. I enjoy my job because of the interaction with different types of customers.

Pros: Opportunities for success agile working
Cons: Travelling

Exellent learning curve

Unilever is the best company to work for. There is flexibility in hours of work. All of the staff members are exellent to share the working environment with. They are friendly and warm. From all other companies I have worked for Unilever is unique and you always eager for the next day. There is also the opportunity to work from home. The only challenge is transport as it is far from town ( at Umhlanga)

Pros: Grear opportunity
Cons: normal hours

Great working culture.

I am a driven individual with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and willingness to learn. An introvert who can spend hours solving "Strategic" and "Analytical" problems - this is the scope of work that excites me! I enjoy being challenged mentality and get great satisfaction if I succeed. My areas of expertise include: Desired Skill Experience : Logistics Warehouse Operations, Transportation Warehouse Management, Systems Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management.

Pros: Great employee benefits.
Cons: Long working hours.

It is an opportunity to learn a lot of things.

It's nice working at unilever one of the biggest FMCG company globally. It's full of youth, there's lots and lots of team work inside the factory, it's environmentally friendly you get too learn alot of things in a short period of time. When I started with the business I was just a packer but due to willingness of learning I ended up working hand in hand with my machine operator teaching me how to operate the machine.. In no time I was able to do so alone. Most challenging aspects in this job is working longer hours at time Sunday to Sunday without any rest.. Though getting the job done at the end of the day is what mattered.

Pros: There's always a room for improvement
Cons: Long working hours.. Even most weekends.

Challenging

Unilever , especially the home care plant strives and is driven to continuous improvement. A typical day is challenging, but with each challenge brings opportunity to improve, from forecasting , planning, quality, safety , cost and production targets the production Unit manager plays a vital role to achieve these business objective KPIs. Working in a highly unionized and limited skilled work environment in Unilever brings a different set of challenges especially when it comes to implementing new processes eg. WCM. Here the UM does a lot of training and coaching to achieve desired results

Pros: Excellent support structure, clear directive and drive from management
Cons: Working with limited skill on shop floor
