University of Johannesburg Reviews

Good learning and experiential field

I am writing to apply for the position of the administrator that was recently advertised on the website.I am a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and I am adept at handling multiple responsibilities. Because I am a self-motivated individual, I work not only until the job is done, but until the job is done right. I am confident that I would perform very well in this position and become a real asset to your department . In return, this position offers me the challenges and responsibilities I have been seeking. I believe it is a win-win situation for both of us. Hope to hear from you soon thank you

Pros: posts are always being advertised to increase peoples skills
Cons: eight to nine hours

Great learning curve

Being an administrative assistant, your job is to assist administratives, whatever those are. And to much of the world, your job sounds like an easy one. The most challenging part of the job is that You Always Have To Be Happy People Think Your Job Is Easy. What I have learned is that an administrative assistant is the one who keeps the office running efficiently. The skilled administrators continuously look for new ways to lend support, or make improvements to benefit the company. The administrators aren't just supporting players they add value in a way that makes them critical to an organization's success.

Pros: Opportunities to grow
Cons: Comfort Zone

Magnificent learning curve

Being a tutor has help me in improving my personal skills, problem solving skills and analytical thinking. My co-workers are very supportive in terms of giving out needed information and providing learning equipment. working with students could be challenging in terms of dealing with students who lack focus, students who do not prepare for classes and students who are rude, nevertheless it is always a great learning curve. and there is nothing as fulfilling as knowing that you are making a change in someone's life by assisting them academically.

Pros: great opportunity for improving personal skills
Cons: poor salary

Excellent learning curve

Working in the university of Johannesburg has been rather challenging but the experience gained is second to non. Studying while working has helped me learn how to cope with massive work loads and work well under pressure and also work well with others. It has boosted my self confidence and helping students further understand their module has brought me greater joy.

Pros: Teamwork
Cons: Workload

Excellent learning

I really loved working for my company because I had friendly and vibrant colleagues who also had a huge passion for what they were doing which motivated me everyday. I learned new things everyday and I learned how to work with people from diverse cultures. Communication is the most important key needed when you work with other people as it helps you understand the next person without judging them. A typical work day for me would be a little busy but managed to get everything done as my job required me to multitask and be able to work under pressure. Challenges I would face included having to deal with people who are uncooperative and impatient when trying to assist them. I learnt not to take such treatment personally but instead continue to give that person the best service they deserve.

Pros: It was a great working environment, the stuff was supporting and I learnt new things that will help me when I get another job.
Cons: Having most workers being absent on a busy day causing our services to be slow and lecturers being impatient.

Learning curve

Great one no complain, would be great if I were to be employed permanent for this job. Live working with people, students learning from you. Now its just a temporary opportunity for 3 months only in a semester.

Pros: Promotion
Cons: Working weekends
